EDIT; [Closed!] again. Thank you to those who showed interest!
Iím Musicway, or Music for short. I recently finished high school so I have a lot of free time on my hands, and the few RPís Iím currently in have slowed down a bit. Below are the details and some of my ideas, as well as a few notes on how I write and what I expect of a partner. I can be a little bit picky on partners, so please donít be offended if I donít go for your idea, your writing style or your character. If you see that another writer has already Ďbagsedí or shown interest in a particular theme or idea, (when I add more), donít worry, as I would not consider it officially taken until Iíve crossed it off my list. I donít have many, however, and I donít think Iíll be adding any more right at this moment.
-I am a spontaneous writer. I will often throw in small, unexpected events for drama or shock value, and I love action scenes. Violence is fine for me, and I have no worries about people getting seriously injured, personally targeted or even killed, and I can handle blood and gore within that. Iíd also be alright with torture scenes, if necessary, as long as theyíre kept to relatively minor detail. I will not, however, stand for rape, sexual assault scenes or other similarly intense things. Feel free to mention them as a part of your characterís past, certainly, just donít have them play out in the story itself. They can have Ďclose callsí or mentions/flashbacks of past moments, thatís fine, just not a complete, detailed event.
-I prefer MxF couples, and I can play either gender. I will not do homosexual (MxM or FxF) relationships or use transsexual, bisexual or etcetera characters as my main character, simply because I am completely inexperienced with those aspects of a person and have absolutely no idea how Iíd portray them. If you would like to play such a character as a side character, or even as your main (if romance is not heavily involved), then feel free to discuss this with me.
-I will not do smut, fetishes or sex scenes. I donít feel comfortable doing them, but Iím perfectly happy for there to be romance. Flirting, mentions of cheating and Ďplaying promiscuousí is all fine, as is anything short of sex and/or intimate touching. Anything more than that will be skipped or Ďfaded outí. I donít mind already established relationships, though Iíd prefer our characters to build the relationship up over the course of the story, especially if they do not know each other at the beginning.
Everyone has to have some ground rules, and Iím no exception, so bare with me.
-Firstly, I donít mind if you post an idea or voice your interest in this thread Ė you can also tell me via PM. Iím open to new plot or story ideas, so feel free to throw a post up detailing something you have in mind - though Iíd appreciate if you kept those ideas within the themes, worlds or fandoms that Iíve listed below. If you do post telling me that youíre interested, or if you PM me about it, donít simply leave it at that. Tell me what youíre interested in, if you have any ideas of your own, if you are happy to use my ideas, or if we need to collaborate (which Iím perfectly happy to do!). If you simply post or message me saying Ďinterestedí or ĎIím iní thereís a good chance Iíll overlook it.
-Iíve never used the PM system for an RP before. Iíd be much more comfortable writing over the forums themselves, post by post, instead of message by message. However, if you really, absolutely, positively feel that you cannot use the threads we may be able to sort something out. This does not apply to emails, however.
-I will not RP as a canon character Ė and, if youíre going to be working with me, then the same goes for you. Iíve only ever played original characters and Iím not about to stop. Thereís too much stuff to Ďget rightí, and Iíve never seen a writer portray an already established character effectively. Canonís will also not be included as side characters, doubled characters or NPCís.
-I will never, ever control your character/s, so do not control mine. Even little actions (of my own characters) that I myself have not written really irk me.
-In regards to Ďdoublingí, personally I like to have multiple characters within the story, and Iíd expect you to as well. Pretty much anything goes. You can have as many as you want, and have them interact as much or as little as you want.
-I like working off Character Sheets, though I donít particularly mind if you want to get straight into the story and worry about the specifics later Ė or if youíd rather develop your character from scratch through the story alone and scrap a CS altogether.
-Most importantly, you must be literate. Slight mistakes arenít too much of a worry too me, Iím not that picky. Some people may miss a letter here or a letter there, and I am not exempt from this rule, but you must at least know how to coherently and effectively put together a response with the required amount of writing. Grammar must always be used where necessary, such as punctuation, and I will allow the use of colours and centre or side formatting, if there is a particular way that you write in threads.
-Optimal posting is once a day, but any more than that is encouraged. I am on these forums what feels like hundreds of times every day so I should always be able to respond. If I cannot respond straight away or take a few days to come up with something, please understand, and I will always give you a valid excuse for why I havenít.
-Post length should be three paragraphs for each post as a minimum, and no one liners. I understand that you may lack inspiration to write a decent post, but there is always something to say. Writerís block happens to the best of us, and at the worst of times, so let me know if youíre having trouble and I will try my best to help you.
-Everyone has bad days, everyone gets sick, and everyone has a life outside of the internet. If you become busy suddenly and cannot post, if you can, please let me know how long you think youíll be inactive for. I will completely understand, even if itís simply because, for the life of you, you cannot think of how to go about your next post. I will only get annoyed if you donít say a word and then leave me hanging for a week or longer. Keep me in the loop!
-The same applies for if you are leaving the forums, e.g. are going on vacation for an extended period of time. Let me know when to expect you back Ė hell, even if you donít know, just tell me when youíre leaving so Iím not waiting on you to post when youíre not even available.
-If youíve become disinterested in the RP, tell me! To me, itís almost as bad as leaving without warning. We can always try another idea, fandom or story, or if you simply want to call it quits altogether, I will understand. Stories die a lot.People lose interest, the story slows down, things pop up. It happens. Itís no big deal, and I certainly wouldnít hold it against you if you decided to quit.
#1 (over eager!)
Themes: Action, Violence, Supernatural, Possible (eventual) Romance, 'Magic'/Abilities, Fantasy Elements, Possible gore, Modern Setting
Brief Synopsis: An injured boy flees through the crowded streets one night, dodging traffic and any passerbys, though no matter how obvious his movements are, nobody seems to notice him. A young man, [your character] has decided (for whatever reason) to stay out late this night, roaming through the midnight stores on his way home. As the boy enters an abandoned store beside the one he is in, he calls out to the young man, though he does not speak a word. Hearing the pleas for help in his mind, the young man rushes out of the store, and locates the injured boy. Confused as to how he was able to communicate with him, the young man pushes the thought from his mind for the moment, focusing instead on tending to his injuries. But he is interrupted when a young woman appears. She is hooded, and an unearthly quality seeps from her, tarnishing the area around it. Cold and darkness emit from her, chilling the young man's bones. An immense power, something that cannot be explained in the words of any mortal, can also be felt. Whoever she is, she looks like bad news.
Now cornered, the boy then gives him a choice, though she tells the young man he is not to be trusted. He must decide whether to attack and kill the woman, or let her kill the boy.
He chooses to protect the boy.
Setting: To be determined. Preferably cityscape.
Characters: Young woman (me), Young boy (me), Young man (you), others (shared)
Perspective: 3rd person (e.g. they, she, he, etc)
