Down deep near the Southeastern borders of The Forest lies a secluded place, an antiquated house of worship lost to time from the calamity that brought forth the beginnings of Terra Nova.
Years ago in this beautiful grotto folks of all races came to worship giants, mystical beings with great power who they saw as gods. In their devotion they found a prime spot for worship, this gargantuan hill. What was once an almost mountainous hill of grass and stone is was mined out and hollowed into a great house of worship. A church born of stone and faith. The roof has enormous holes that allow light in, creating an enchanting feel about the entirety of the room.
At the very back, seen from the entrance immediately, lies a statue carved from the limestone remains of the hill itself. Surrounded by a large flat plane of stone and moss its size is breathtaking, before it stands a large pedestal where priests once stood to give sermons about their giant lords. Now it rots alone and untended by the hands of man for what seems like a century. Below the pedastal can be seen twenty four parallel rows of stone seats where followers would sit and pray, you can find rotted religious texts underneath them. Written in runic and long forgotten languages they are useless to many, meaningless to all.
Within the grotto lies a great lake of crystal clear water, faintly tinted blue and so pure that evil souls may find it unsavory. It encompasses the entirety of the church and almost touches the walls of the cave. Around the lake are several rocky outcroppings that separate it from the walls. Above the beautiful waters is a long bridge carved from the cavern as well, it is covered in moss and time has eroded the left side quite a bit, but it still stands strong.
Enchanted years ago by powerful giant's magic, the plants and wildlife stray away from it, even trees grow from it to allow light in from above. The stone itself is almost completely unbreakable, only time weathers away the cavern now. The only plants that can actually grow there are thinly rooted mosses, and they only last a few days before drying out and falling off.
