So I've grown up watching some of the series and playing MMO's, and from all the things I recalled was that companionship was a big part of growth for the plot and characters. As for "The World" it's a fictional MMO I'm pretty sure most fans wish Namco Bandai would collaborate with someone to make This a real MMO.
Anyways, here is basically the basic plot, because I don't want to spoil anything I have in store.
Revision 5 was officially finished, The previous Map from Revision 4 has been scrapped for a newer generation of players. As you know since it is .hack, most of the plot, if not all takes place in this high fantasy based world. Meaning just get used to a few Terms that are common in Massive Multiplayer online Role Playing games (MMO) for short.
BAM= Big Ass Monster. So yeah lol.
AS for the actual starting point, you guys are deployed into the wilderness just a ways from heavy populated towns. Most of the rp will be ran by the players choices. ( Those who will participate in the role play that is.)
Your characters will probably have no background, I say this because plot wise, you just finished creating and naming your character. So what background? You just started.
But Here is the thesis just in case you want me to break it down...
Current timeline?: After current series in the year 2031.
Thesis of idea: Player Driven plot with revolving story arcs based on paths and choices of players.
Things the participants should know. : There will be a light of Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game Terms that will be mentioned. (MMORPG)
With that being said, it should be treated as a game. However you will not be required to use actual numbers.
Combat can use juggle physics and what not. Meaning just have fun with combat post.
There is no true character race and should be able to use your own imaginations to be original.
Since it is a MMORPG setting, death will not result into you being forfeited from the rp itself. Meaning have fun with chances.
Just no Titan like characters that can span thirty feet.
One more thing that will remain unofficial: I probably will not care about the In real life character; for the majority of the plot will be in a fictional video game. Though out of character ( or game in this case) post are okay, just try not to make it your entire story arc. We know the player behind the screen has a life, that is fine.
Romances are okay, just donít do what you would do at an inn in private where everyone can see it. With that in mind, players should be respectful to there not being a gender barrier. Meaning I really donít care if you ladies and gentlemen have same gender relationships. But these are entirely optional.
