The night was clear and the streets quiet. Everybody was at home, either resting from their Christmas meal or hastily awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus, or rather, Père Noël. The Notre Dame Cathedral had closed for the night. Security guards usually patrolled the area in and out of the sacred place, but for some reason, they felt the need to return home to their families at midnight. At the same time, six figures approached the Cathedral doors. The first sight they came upon was a man in brown cloth robes, a large golden cross hanging over his neck.
"Bonjour!" The man greeted cheerfully. "Welcome to the Notre Dame Cathedral! You're the first of many to arrive. My Lady Joan has been expecting you. I am so happy you heeded her call! I am Etienne, Bishop of Paris. Or... I was. Yes, I was, long ago. Nevertheless, I would be happy to show you inside the premises! Do you have the token that Joan gave you?
The six men and women, Erick, Evyn, Jade, Ridger, Daniel and Agatha, stood around each other and Bishop Etienne. Whatever was about to happen would happen right now.
