CURRENTLY SEARCHING FOR MORE MALE STUDENT CHARACTERS, AND TEACHERS REGARDLESS OF GENDER.
Atreus is a city forever blessed in scriptures, as the meeting place of Demi-Gods, and Humans it exists as a melting pot of both races, and is at the forefront of an Earth previously ravaged by war after war between the two sides. Although, things are not as peaceful and equal as thought. The ripples of racial superiority and discrimination are quite prevalent, considering that once in the olden days only a chosen few were born (or even placed) into the wealthiest clans, the descendants of the Gods were born into elite clans which sought to take ultimate control of the Earth, while many humans were either poor or disregarded for their so called 'meager capabilities', but one must remember that things did not remain this way for very long. The city once held up to its principles, that is until a war was struck between the two races, thereby ravaging the Earth and accounted for a major loss of population. Years after civilization was able to stabilize, each side built metropolises of guarded and immense structure to separate one another. Despite the fact that the Demi Gods proved much more powerful than the humans, their numbers were small and were further dwindled by warfare to the point where it was assumed that the race went extinct, and the last few were meant to be purged out by human warriors. Thereby leading to the world as we know it today. That is; until the Gods themselves grew weary of the lack of Demi-Gods proving their worth, and they themselves built the wonder that is Atreus as a haven for the remaining Demi-Gods. While originally thought of as a breeding ground of conflict for the Gods to toy with, the Humans and their Demi-God counterparts somehow came to an agreement to ensemble under the banner of one nation. Thus, Atreus came into being. Although, over the years (as predicted by the God Apollo) Atreus has begun to slip into Chaos under the influence of the Gods themselves, but an even mightier force hides behind this, waiting to reclaim the Earth and to decimate the beings who marred the prophecy they were tasked to withhold. No one is entirely sure of what the future brings, but rumor has it that the Gods are planning to select a powerful few to take down the forces of those who dare threaten their domain.
Inspired by Greek Mythology (and Percy Jackson and the Olympians), Atreus is a roleplay where in a alternate universe Earth beings born with the blood of Greek deities try to coexist with humans. There are three types of deities found in this roleplay, Gods, Titans, and Primes. While the Gods, and Titans are rather self explained, the Primes are the beings who forged the very universe and predate the Gods, and Titans. As such, the Primes are forces, rather than beings who choose to take a form, while they can, they choose not to as to keep humans from gaining any more power from the reckless behaviors of their descendants.
A few things to remember here, characters are Demi-Gods, or Humans (Titans may be playable later) born in Atreus, or who moved to Atreus from surrounding countries. The Gods and Titans care little for the children and the destruction they create on Earth, rarely are any of the Demi-Gods and Titans acknowledged by their parents, and are seen as nothing but toys for the deities. Most live without the other parent providing a insufficient childhood leaving a lot angsty teens, and adults with unstable emotions. This World is quite similar to our own if not slightly futuristic, that means characters go through their daily lives like any normal person here and now, except of course, they have powers. My intentions for this roleplay are a character driven plot, and I plan to deal more with who the character is as a person, not the powers and abilities they have, meaning, that conquest isn't something you should focus on when creating a character, in fact, development will probably play a bigger role than power.
