Post-Apocalyptia, U.S of A (OCC and Signup thread)
The year is 2050 and the United States of America is but a desolate shadow of its former self. In fact most of the world is after a deadly plague spread through the globe like wild fire. It was known to the masses as the tropical flu, a viral infection that started in the South American rain forest in 2013. It quickly traveled across all continents without catching anybodies attention. Nobody really noticed what it was until it was too late. Governments around the world scrambled to developed a vaccine, countries put under marshal law, borders closed down, schools, transport systems, offices, hospitals closed down. Just after 3 years deaths numbered in the millions. The big cities around the world were hit hardest, where corpses were burned on the streets and people struggled to get control over the wide spread chaos. Looting, murders, scavenging and widespread fire arm fighting would occur frequently. Eventually, those were charged with maintaining peace and order abandoned their duties and did whatever they needed to survive. As more and more people died, city infrastructures began to fail without their constant repairs. Power lines went dead, phones became useless and water supplies ran dry. In 2025, society as we knew it collapsed and those who survived the flu struggled on to survive. 37 years later, those who survived found out that without the modern conveniences we took for granted, we turned to our primal instincts for survival. The world was a very different place, no longer was man the dominant species. Our population dropped from 7.046 billion to a mere 5 million. In the U.S of A, things have fallen apart just like in the rest of the world. The cities and town you once knew are slowly rotting away, slowly being reclaimed by nature. Without any form of government, the lands have become barbaric without any form protection for the weak. Bands of thieves, robbers, looters and raiders who scour the lands looking for anybody to prey on. Small groups of people now turn to communal farming to survive or roaming the lands looking for anything to scavenge. The world is every different now, it runs on the Darwinist idea of survival of the fittest.
Welcome to Post Apocalptia, the United States of America. This is a survival rp where you have to survive the lawless lands of the U.S. From the ghost cities that were once sprawling metropolis that housed millions of people to open fields cultivated by those trying to survive. In this rp, you will have control of a small group of people who are trying to live in this ruthless lands. Packs of marauders will come so you have to defend yourselves as best you can. Scavenge the old cities for the supplies you'll need and try to find anything to eat before you and your people die of starvation.
The rules are simple;
1. Be realistic - This isn't a fantasy rp, so no super powers, no fairies, no vampires and no supernatural bs. It's just about people trying to get on with their lives after the fall of society. This brings us to our next rule.
2. No God moding - We're trying to be realistic here. If you get attacked by a bigger group or by a heavily armed marauder group, you will sustain casualties.
3. Your group can only start out with 200 people or less, just for the sake of realism.
4. Please be responsible - Everything you type in here would progress the story, meaning we all keep this thing going. Just obey the rules and there wont be any trouble.

Name of your group: The Yankees
Leader of your group: Alexander Moss
Location of your group: Upper Manhattan area, New York City
Number of people within the group/ group population: 147
Description/ Back story of the group: After the tropical flu subsided, the state of New York was in a mess. NYC was hit the hardest. Buildings on fire, looting and gun fights was wide spread and many people badly needing medical services that couldn't reach them because of the chaos in the streets. People were forced to stay at home and stay out of the streets. Every family had to be armed to survive the constant home invasions the desperate. People were starving as food became rarer and rarer to find. As the situation became more and more dire, a small military convoy arrived under the command of Colonel Alexander Moss. Col. Moss restored order as best he can and drove out the marauding groups that terrorized the neighborhoods. The people rallied to him hoping to find food and other supplies necessary to survive. Sadly the last of Col. Moss' own supplies have been used and he was hoping of find some in the area. One of his subordinates though had a brilliant idea, they would farm on the top of their houses and apartments. At first it was rough going with their farms yielding small harvest and they had to scavenge from the surrounding areas to survive. Slowly though, their rooftop farms became a success and they were now able to feed themselves with the crops they grew. Groups of marauders began to flock into the city again, trying to steal their food supplies. The col. fended them off and barricaded their territory off from the marauders. The neighborhood, up to this day is still under treat from robbers and thieves but will carry on defending their homes. Moss has plans of taking midtown Manhattan and placing rooftop farms there as well but for the meantime they have to defend themselves as best they could.
