Here's a fun fact: everything you see on television, in books, even online (that you think is fictional) is real. All televisions and computer screens are nothing more than portals to the worlds they showcase that humanity have yet to figure out how to use, while books are simply written accounts by ghost writers sworn to secracy. All the madness that comes along with keeping this a secret falls upon a single, benevelant, mysterious being, who's true form has not been revealed to anyone since his birth. He simply has one name: The Great Surveyor
As of late however, something has been going terribly wrong. A dark shadow has fell over the many multiverses, one that not even the being can stop through conventional means. Whatever this shadow is, it's effects are catastrophic: Bart falls out of an airplane, Squidward commits suicide, and an entire world filled with pirates, takers of skin, and talking ships has been created and shown in place of the true escapeds of the multiverse. While a few of these of these events have been captured in literacy by humans, The Great Surveyor knows that far, far many more events have occured, and although he has always been able to stop the terror after the event, very few times has he been able to stop the event before or as it was happening.
He was fortunate enough to capture a small sampling of this black foglike substance, and a great fear has been confirmed: if things continue the way they are now, the fog will overpower the hold The Great Surveyor has on the multiverse, and unleash itself upon the unsuspecting human race. If it does, for lack of a better term, hell will break lose: World War III will occur, radiation will overtake the surface of the Earth, and humanity will cease to be.
Fearing the well being of the human race, The Great Surveyor began to work to assemble a group of individuals from across the multiverse, each with vastly different skills, and points of view, that he thinks could counteract the madness that has emerged in his once peaceful land. He knows they will likely butt heads and fight with one another, but for a chance to maintain peace, he is willing to take that risk.
Okay people, I want to lay down a few ground rules. Nothing to demanding, just a few things to keep the quality on the up and up.
1-Have fun, obviously.
2-Any amount of RPers can join up to a certain part in the story. However, each RPer is limited to three characters a piece, so choose wisely.
3-You have to write three sentences a piece for each character you RP as. For example, if you have two characters, your post must be at least six sentences long.
4-If you are inactive for more than three days, I will prod you. If you are gone for a week, I will have to take you out of the RP. If you are to be gone for a period of time longer than that, inform us in the OOC so I'll know.
5-No fan characters or OCs. This is a strictly a crossover RP, but it is likely I will be creating an OC related RP in the future.
6-If you wish to kill off one or more of your characters, inform me and we'll try to figure out a logical way to do it.
7-Can we not be douchebags to each other? Please? I don't want to kick anyone for that, but I will if I have to.
Right then, all that's left is the character sheet. If you wish to join, fill this out.
Looks: (Can be a pic.)
Name: The Doctor (10th)
Universe/Series Name: Doctor Who
Backstory: The Doctor is a renegade time lord from the planet Gallifrey. He is also the last Time Lord in existence, the rest of his race being wiped out in the Last Great Time War. He has been traveling across time and space (originally bringing his granddaughter Susan along for the ride) since before then, originally wishing to stay as far away from interfering with the natural progression of events as possible. That was nine regenerations ago, and nowadays it isn't an uncommon sight to see The Doctor throw himself head long into danger for the sake of others.
He often works with humans-in fact, most of his third regeneration was spent exiled on Earth for his interference, working at a military complex known as UNIT as their Head of the Science Committee. It is likely that he does this so he never goes 'over the edge' and does something he and many others will regret later. He and his 'companions' as he calls them, travel in the TARDIS, a machine built by the Time Lords which he stole for his own use. Originally it had a chameleon drive that would disguise itself to fit in seamlessly with whatever world it had landed on. However, after an extensive stay in 20th century London, it broke, and it has been a blue police box ever since.
Personality: In this particular regeneration, The Doctor is rather child like and cheerful. He is very approachable, kind, and willing to help those in distress. However, he still carries a great deal of baggage from The Last Time War, not to mention the many companions that have either left him or died in the years past. Should you betray his trust in any way, you will find it is very difficult to get it back, as he holds firm the mentality of there being no second chances with him.
Name: Miles 'Tails' Prower
Universe/Series Name: Sonic the Hedgehog
Backstory: Tails was always a bit of an oddity when he was growing up. His parents, though they loved him to death, didn't really know what to make of the child, who always seemed to be more interested in reading books and researching various subject than playing with kids his age. They would never be able to draw a conclusion however, as they both vanished when Tails was only six and were presumed dead.
The young two tailed fox would often face ridicule for his extra tail, the children of his area simply looking to find anything different than them to make fun of. Tails would have to endure this type of abuse for two years, and by then he had turned into a social recluse whom people rarely saw interact with others. During this self imposed exile, Tails would throw himself into his research, raising his IQ higher each day, allowing him to build machines such as airplanes, communication devices, and a few robot helpers.
That's when he met Sonic the Hedgehog, who saw potential for greatness in this two tailed fox after he helped him defeat the neferious Dr. Ivo 'Eggman' Robotnik. Since then, the two have been inseperable, Tails always putting aside any project he may be working on to help his hedgehog friend.
Personality: For a child, Tails is extremely intelligent. With an IQ north of three hundred, the young fox is very analytical and wise, and can often think his way through a problem without having to throw so much as a single punch. He is also a mechanical genius, being able to build translation machines from simple parts lying around. However, it must be said that Tails is still a child-he is prone to being impulsive, and can make mistakes every now and then. While his travels with Sonic have both hardened him and opened his eyes to the beauty of his world, he is still very sensitive and cannot stand to see injustice done without shaking in rage.
Name: The Queen of Hearts
Universe/Series Name: Alice In Wonderland
Backstory: The Queen of Hearts is the tyrannical ruler of Wonderland. How she actually came to power was anyone's guess-she just appeared out of the blue one day and declared herself queen. Having no real ruler to begin with, the deizens of Wonderland decided to go along with it. However, they ended up with a woman who was completely mad as their queen, who was known for decapitating someone for being late to a meeting. With her, she brought several servants with playing cards for bodies, as well as two dim witted servants known as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb. Since that day, she has ruled over Wonderland with an iron fist, and in her mind no one, especially not some blonde haired child in a blue dress, was going to stop her.
Personality: To call the Queen loopy wouldn't do her justice. She is simply mad, often going from smugly pleased with herself to being prepared to behead some poor stranger at the drop of a hat. She is also known for her vanity, often pausing at a mirror or reflective surface to admire herself in. Perhaps her most noticeable personality trait is her sadism-she enjoys some good schandenfreude, and will sometimes go out of her way to inflict it upon others to amuse herself.
