Daym. This is going to need a SHITLOAD of maintenance once it's up. Maybe one of the areas could be set in a Jungle on the outskirts of China? With a small guerrilla feud going on. Or something like that, I dunno..

I like the idea, and I am definitely up for it. But you will need alot of people for a entire world to work.
I do have 2 suggestions though, I have seen this on a different forum.

Instead of making it a entire world, make it smaller like a single country or even a town/city which changes in size if needed. For example if we have a town, we can have a hotel in one thread, a bar in a other, etc. The characters can move inbetween the threads. The town/city can be in a different dimension/have portals to different dimension/worlds etc, whatever you want.
It just a suggestion, ignore it if you don't like it

Also instead of giving it tags, you might be able to convince a mod to make a extra sub section on this forum (like we have Basic, Casual, Advanced, etc) for this. That would make it alot easier to keep a general picture and doesn't require anyone to navigate to a different forum.

Some of you older people might remember that there was a Persistent World subforum last year, but it got pulled down because they were going to spruce it up... but it never came back. I'll pitch the idea to the mods if we get enough interest, otherwise it could all just be a waste of their time.

@Rageseeker - Yeah, a place in the jungle would be cool, but the idea is that you use the whole world, so all you have to do is make a thread based in a jungle outside China - maybe some US/Russia funded guerrilla troops causing some problems for the growing problematic Chinese government. Yeah, maintenance will be tough but I was hoping to recruit some lackeys to help me with the chore, so if anyone is interested in that let me know.

@Mochin - Glad to have you aboard, tell your friends, spread the word. Yeah, a city/country would make it a great deal easier to maintain but I kinda like the scope of a whole world (god complex maybe), I think it makes for a lot more variety and a lot more can happen if we involve governments, large corporations, etc. I don't want to have any set threads that people join, the idea is for them to make their own threads and impact on the world in the way they like.

I would, but at the situation I'm in irl right now, I don't think I'd be on the computer consistently enough to fulfill the requirements.

I think I'll do a proper write up that properly explains the world and concept when I get the time and see if that attracts some more attention, we might even try starting with just a small amount of people... and see if we can attract some attention.

I am potentially interested. I am thinking of making a character who is kind of like a hired gun except that he does his own stuff occasionally like heading into Australia to recover some materials for selling in Japan, China, or The EU.
