That's not really much different in any other genre, except in this case it's a more clear cut line. Godmoders will godmode regardless of genre/theme. Whether you're using swords, bullets, arrows, cannons, fireballs, lightning, or lasers, a character isn't going to hit a damn thing unless the target's PC allows it anyways. Also, in these terms magic and technology are quite evenly matched. You pretty much get the same result shooting rockets compared to shooting fireballs.

Well, I will be happy with medieval fantasy as long as we're not restricted to medieval Europe, like said before.
I'd love to do Korean/Chinese/Japanese/Taiwanese/Indonesian medieval fantasy with all that...even the Arabian medieval fantasy! More or less, every type of medieval fantasy.
Hell, I'd even write up the racial bios.

I'm not a fan of the whole Elven/Dwarven scenario, honestly; I just find them over-used and unoriginal nowadays.
