The Beast of the Mountain

[Cold Heart]

This is my first RP as a member of this site, so im posting it here, as i don't know whether i deserve to post in the Advanced RP section, if a mod thinks it should be moved, please do so. Also, i HAVE read the rules, but the traditions here are unfamiliar to me, so ill ask that players try to follow my slightly different traditions that i am familiar with.
Before you start posting, provide a simple bio for your character, maybe a brief background. follow my lead:

Name: Deshei Teson
Age: 27
Race: Human
Appearance: fairly short brown hair, with a parted, curtain fringem, a short full-face beard, green eyes, lightly tanned. Wears a green tunic top ontop of a light, steel chainmail body. Loose, brown trowsers made of cloth, also wears leather boods, bovered in a few steel plates, and wears hard leather vambraces.
Weapons/Magic: Carries a simple broadsword on a belt he hangs around his shoulder. Has no magic ability.
Skills: Cunning sword fighter, enjoys a good fight. Rather intelligent, quite tactical.
Personality: Frigid, though he can grow on some people. Quiet and inter-personal.


I am new, so, naturaly i am kind enough to welcome anyone to enter my RP, no special rules.

"That'll be two gold, sir. You sure you aren't finished yet?"
Deshei handed the bartender two coins, in exchange for a gleaming mug of golden liquid. Beer.
"I'm fine..." He muttered, trailing off into some drowning mumble, before hobbling back over to his spot in the corner of the bar, and chugged down yet another pint. The bartender sighed, promising himself not to sell another glass to him.

Dashei was travelling to another town; Huemeron, for duties as the freelancer he was. He was staying in a town he believed to be called Manelon, initialy he thought he would just stay the night but he ended up helping himself to another, without thinking of leaving the next day. Fatigued from his long trip so far by horse, he decided to indulge himself in some pleasure filled binging moments at the local bar.

Noises around him began to distort, mixing like the echo of a hall and the moaning of a voice through water, even his vision bounced around aalong with his dizzy perception of balance. He slowly walked out of the bar, trying his best to keep his balance, landing his weight heavily into his arm as he pulled it open sluggishly.

He leant against the wall, looking out over the rooftops of the slums, and into the nearby mountains, as the afternoon sun hovered over them. A fly seemed to hover infront of this image, seeming to grow, no it was a butterfly, a green butterfly, aproaching him. Another man walked out of the bar, and stopped as he noticed Deshei's actions.
"Are you alright?"
He attempted to reply, but his jaw was too sloppy to move.
"What is that?!" The other man gasped "A dragon?!"
Deshei stretched his eyes to see, ans sure enough, it could only be a dragon. Swearing in shock, he clumsily attempted to untie his sword from his back, but his fingers would not move under his command.
"Damn... Im drunk" He raised his fist and hit the wall with all the strength he could muster. As the dragon grew dangerously closer, screams rang across the town, dragging people out of their shelters to look up in the sky.
A plume of flame issued from the dragons mouth, smoke rising from what must have been several buildings. He couldn't see a think from behind the bar, and his body wouldn't carry him out of the densley packed slums of the town, to witness what was happening.
CRASH!!!
Another set of buildings were ripped apart, this time slightly closer to him, and from what he could hear, the dragon began dealing more fire, setting half the village ablaze. Bows were fired, and hundreds of arrows shot through the air, but the dragon never issued a single cry, arrows are nothing for dragon scales, that was common sense to Deshei, who faced his back to the wall and slid down, landing on his rear end hard on the haphazardly laid brick road. He sat there and stared into nothingness, as the din of the scene echoed around his head, the atmosphere growing dark and grey as the smoke began to blot out the light of the sun.

Name: Jakal Delrahis

Occupation: Battlemage Wanderer

Age: 27
Race: Half-elf
I am about 5'11 with a good build I wear a dark robe on the hims of these robes are blood and dirt. I have bleached white hair and Green eyes. I also have light elven armor with a short staff. Has long hair put into his face but seems to be able to better then most people.


Personality: Kind at first glance but has an eary look to him you feel a weird awkwardness.

Magic: Is skilled in the school of Destruction and dabble in illusion and Conjuration.

As all this happens a man walks in. Lightly effected by the large Dragon and laughs at the townspeople in there mad havor from atop his horse.
Jakal: Fools you dont know what you have on your own little hands. 'tisk tisk tisk'

Jakal as soon as he came seemed to have a certain frighteness though of the large beast. Though it didnt stop him from raising his staff into the air chanting magic in foreign tounges. Quickly the sky turned even darker from this chanting and a storm of rain swept through the town putting out some of the fire. Jakal now on top of a hill near by swore at the beast to get its attenion.

Jakal said" Foul beast go back to the depths of hell in which you belong." Soon the battle mage swung a large blast of ice and the foul beast not killing it but simply injuring its left wing. Sure that he had frightend the beast he turned his back only to get terribly burned by its fire.

Jackal: Raahhgg....ugh!.!..

[Cold Heart]

The dragon flew right over Deshei's head, with a loud sweeping sound as its body cut through the air. More buildings burned, the dragon without a sign of stopping, but then something large struck its wing, causing it to lose some altitude, before struggling to climb again. It passed back over Desheis position, setting fire to the other end of the tavern, the flames quickly spreading along the building
Swearing, Deshei clumsisly paced to a safe area, to lie down in his useless state.
"You sir!" A man called, running at him from the road to Deshei's right. He stopped infront of him, panting for a breath.
Deshei recognised him at once, he was the guard who let him into the village, after giving him his personal details.
"You're a freelancer, correct?" He panted.
Trying his best not to give away the fact he was so intoxicated, he nodded with all his concentration. "Yeah... what do you want?"
Trying to shout over the comotion, the guard spoke again "This dragon is several centuries old, and has lived in the nearby mountains for years!"
BAM!!!
A nearby explosion rained fire over their heads, possibly an exploding barrel of black powder.
"Go on!" Deshei ordered, louder still, as the beating of the dragons wings grew louder.
"It hasn't troubled anyone the entire time it's lived in those mountains, we have no idea why its behaving like this! We need you, aswell as the help of others to get to the dragon's cave and find out why the dragon is acting like this, and if neccessary, kill the dragon!" The guard finished
"Are you crazy?! A dragon?! We need alot of supplies to fight a dragon! We need flameproof materials, a ballista with iron tipped bolts, many skilled men, the list goes on!" Deshei yelled in anger, aswell as over the noise.
"Whatever! Just follow me to the town centre! let our defenses take care of the dragon for now, its looking like it may flee soon!" The guard then began jogging back in the direction he came, Deshei struggling to follow behine, in a pursuit of dodging and manouvering around burning buildings and the dragons attacks.

Getting up from his horrble wound on his back he cast a spell that summond his horse back to him. Noticing out of the messy scene of burning buildings and dead people a certain two people running. he rushed twords them and said "Need some help ugghh." Still in pain from the bad burn on his back.

Name: Tyzer "Elektro" Diago
Age: 16
Race: not quite sure what race i am atm...
Appearance: Cute, Built, Boy next door type. Still looks like a young boy. Has clean shaven face and chest. Innocent.
Weapons/Magic: Short Sword, Staff, Bow (on summon), Elemental Attacks (Mostly Lightning), Apprentice Healer.
Skills: Cunning sword fighter, intelligent fighter, Fast thinker, Team player, Fast learner, Outgoing and easily liked, good with others (usually lol)
Personality: Look at above basically.

Tyzer Leaves a building on fire just intime to get nearly hit by an explosion. He sees a group of three running towards the town centre. Tears in his eyes they turn light blue. His face distorts in pain and the mark of doom is seen. The town gaurd, the name escapes him, is marked with it. He leaves his mother and fathers corpses behind and runs up to them, the only ones that look calm in all of the commotion.
"Hey, Please take me with you, I can help you." He waits for them to reply and keeps jogging behind them.
