Thank you kindly. I try to preserve a lot of detail in my work while still letting it be on the 'softer' side. A lot of photography trends nowadays are either all about super-grainy HDR, unnatural saturation, or throwing all the technical rules out of the way. I'm planning a week-long marathon of photography, so we'll see how my images turn out.

Thank you! I've been bad with updating it (I've also been bad with doing most internet things as of late. RL is taking over.)
So, it's that time of year again! Time for another 'Creative Vacation,' where I do nothing but a series of photoshoots for a week to help improve my photography skills as well as add new images and style to my portfolio.
These are the confirmed themes so far:
1.) Steampunk.
I've managed to get wardrobe from an amazingly talented clothing designer that's been featured in Vogue Italy. This photoshoot will be shot in front of historical trains. I'm attempting to instead of blur out my backdrops, to find interesting ones to use. A train station with vintage trains will definitely help to pull the whole look together. So far I have two models cast for the shoot, but am looking to cast one more model, as well as work with professional make up artists and hair stylists to create more eye-catching hairstyles.
This is in regards to the opera 'Carmen,' regarding the irresistible beauty trapped in a tragic love triangle. I've aquired a beautiful red masquerade gown that that will style beautifully for this kind of look.
2.) Memoirs of a Geisha.
A local kimono designer wants to work with me and one of my favorite models, Miki. Depending upon the availability of a hair stylist, we will likely be going for a look that resembles Memoirs of a Geisha. My original concept was to go traditional Geisha, and muck up the hair and make-up for an editorial story, but that may not be possible.
3.) Bridal Shoot.
There's no denying that weddings are where the money is at (and the pain), so I'm looking to add more bridal work to my portfolio. A local designer who creates gorgeous wedding gowns wants to have me shoot their newest line.
4.) Indian Sarees.
A designer of traditional Indian clothing (as in India, not Native Americans), in Miami wishes to work with me and Miki, so this will be an opportunity to explore an entirely different culture and style of wardrobe.
5.) Mulan Pin-Up.
Miki has a Mulan-inspired vintage pillbox hat, so we want to pull together a Pinup look to have some fun with in-studio.
6.) Psylocke & Poison Ivy Cosplay.
I'd like to go back to my nerdy roots and do some cosplay photography, and these two characters should make it a fun project.
7.) Fetish.
I've invited Miki to bring along her latex catsuit, as we've both done very little in terms of alternative / fetish photography. I don't think it's going to be my cup of tea, but at least with me being a non-creepy female I can get her some nice photographs for the genre.
So, there we go! Lots and lots of photoshoots to keep me busy in the 2nd week of March. For now, here's Part 2 of one of my earlier photo series:
Conceptual: Contrast II
Model: Jillian / Designer: Narcisco Rodriguez
As always, comments and feedback regardless of photography knowledge are always appreciated!
