Was that her or was his mind attacking him again? He couldn't tell it sounded like her and she had that sharp object again. Kartec glanced at her and decided it was her, he didn't think his mind could make up such a good vision of someone he barely saw. 'I.... no .... I ... didn't .... mean .... no.' He fell to his knees. 'I just ..... wanted some more of your blood.' he eventually burst out. 'I didn't mean ... I thought she was ....' He stuttered along.

She sighs, he had attacked a woman. Does this mean she must kill him? She ponders the answer in her head. If she doesn't kill him now, he could kill others... unless her and Varenus could take him in, and Varenus wouldn't agree to it, not over his dead body. If she chose not to take him in, but still keep him alive, how could she hide it from Varenus? However if she killed him now, problem solved. One less Strigoi hunting the innocent of Sydney.

But could she do it? Could she kill him? What was so different about that night in the sewers now that she even had to ask herself this question?

He was on the brink of death in the sewers.

And their it was, she couldn't bring herself to let him die, So then how could she kill him?

She addresses one of the more eminent problems. "You did this for my... my blood?" As disgusted as she should be by this, she couldn't find it in herself to so much as look away from him.

She steps forward slowly.

'...' he paused and replied, '...yes.' Kartec looked away, he seemed to get disturbed by the way she had asked her question, yet she had moved closer to him anyway. His head twitched, this wasn't right. 'I.... should.... should ... go.' He muttered to to himself before looking at her, 'Im sorry but I have to go.' Voice was forced through his mouth quickly. Kartec rose and took off away from her before realizing she was guarding the only exit.
