Asylum Code: XIX (19) This runs up the back of her neck in simple black.

Weapons: Mina wears two guns in a pair of shoulder holsters and carries a knife strapped upon her thigh.

Alchemy specialization: Shape shifting

Appearance: Mina is 5’8 with short spiked black hair, her skin is a medium olive tone and her eyes are so dark as to appear black and it takes a lot of watching to discern their true colour (which IS in fact blue.) A smattering of near invisible freckles cover her nose. Her body, lean and athletic, is covered in tattoos, the main two being: a decorative sleeve on her right arm that seems to change each time you look at it – the main image is a dragon consuming a woman, a koi and black panther stretch the length of her ribs up her left side.
She favours black tank tops and cargo pants, black boots that stretch to mid-calf and are flat soled. She wears dog tags of unspecified origin.

Personality: Mina is practical and realistic but she also has a great sense of humour (though maybe a little dark for some) and loves to laugh. She is also unafraid of her more primal side and at times allows her instincts full reign. Even if this means getting her hands messy. While she often times seems asexual and cold in truth she embraces her sexuality. The coldness is only her sense of practicality and her ability to determine when its right to allow her free access to these emotions.

History: A woman on fire, Mina has spent her life fighting to regain control over her temper and for every step forward takes two step back. A child prone to fighting and firing up at the first insult, Mina spent much time with bloody fists beside the principal's door. Labelled as 'troubled' Mina has been in and out of psychologists in her youth trying to pinpoint the cause of the fierce burning inside her. Seemingly not prime material for an Asylum, Mina's street smarts and surprisingly cool demeanor under fire were complimented by her even at a young age her shape shifters' ability.

Her pairing with Kato was nothing less then tactical genius,the two fitting each other perfectly and together they form an almost normal person. Mina feels a hole that she is constantly seeking to fill despite their friendship and its only when shes training or in a fight that she can ignore the tearing.

Other: Kato and Mina appear to communicate telepathically.
Mina has a blood lust which rises easily when Kato isn't around, his sense of peace balances her out somehow and she's able to control her urges.

Asylum Code: LXXX (80) Tattoo’d up the left side of Kato’s throat and face. The design itself is very stylised.

Weapons: Bow and blow darts.

Alchemy specialization: Sonic Manipulation

Appearance: Kato is Japanese and stands 5’7 with striking features . He is wirey and muscular with elegant hands and feet, perfect for intricate works. Bald, Kato has a tattoo that runs up the side of his face and adds greatly to the menacing look his austere personage bears. Kato’s eyes look reptilian thanks to contacts.
Kato prefers to wear tank tops and military style black camouflage pants, combat boots finish the ensemble.

Personality: Kato rarely speaks. He lets Mina do the talking, the two being so well acquainted that she knows his mind in most things. He is solid and staid, dependable and cool tempered to the point of being cold. Hard to get to know he can appear stand-offish but he is extremely loyal to the point of fault.
He likes to play practical jokes but often will sit by with just a sparkle in his eye and never claim responsibility. He has a love of classical music.

History: Promised to his grandfather from birth as a repayment for his own wife's inability to birth a son, Katos' mother Jun had been sent to fall pregnant with a bastard child at age 16 and was forced to give her father an heir.

His mother was returning from an errand when the rain first began, tiny droplets that barely wet the skin falling from the sky, Jun began to hustle home faster. The bags she held in her arms weighted her down and her heavily pregnant belly made her run more of an indelicate waddle when the first sharp insistent pangs of labour began. She had barely reached the doorway to her parents hom when she fell to her knees, crippled by a desire to push and the thud of her weak fist against the door brought voices from within. Later, Kato's grandparents were told that due to the girls age and narrowness of her hips there was a choice to be made. No doubt remained in his mind as Grandfather leaned over Jun's failing body and looking her in the eye cut open her belly. Drawn forth as his mother screamed her last, Kato blinked and took in the world with eyes already keen with intelligence.

Parentless, Kato ("All-Knowing") was raised by his grandfather, a man steeped in culture and tradition. Trained in the ways of war his mind is sharp and his voice soft, he had formed no attachments until he met Mina and the two are brother/sister now. His reverence for her is fueled by his mother's loss and he holds all women in much esteem.

Kato has a supernatural eye for detail, he can categorise and file minutia which he later refers too.

Good job Daisy, your characters fit the bill and should be a nice addition to Chrono Asylum. x) Welcome aboard! Mina Harker, got some Dracula inspiration I see. xD

Okay now how about you go and read my latest post on Chrono Asylum IC, there you will get an idea of what is going on and you can easily jump into the story. Also you can let me know which role you want to have your characters take on? Go undercover as a doctor, nurse, patient, citizen or priest? That will also allow your character to interact with the others who fall under that category.

Punky, I am sorry to hear about your computer. You can recreate your two characters if you like. Also take your time and work on them. A good character sheet is the foundation to it all. xD Also don't worry spots are still open.

Okay, here we go.

Here's the first, I will get the second one later. (If I haven't already by time this gets checked)

XP Was ALOT easier to type of after having already done it once.

Name: James 'Jimmy' LaBeau

Nickname/Title: (I'd rather earn a Title or nickname via the rp ;p)

Specialty: Sniffer, moderate Hunter capabilities

Asylum Code: XXIII₍₂₃₎ - Tattoo'ed down the side of his left rib cage. The style of the writing is rather sketchy, rather wobbling lines and such. Yet maintains easy readability.

Weapons:

1. Subterfuge is a 7in, swing out revolver, with Anti-Alchemical bullets. It has a silver barrel, with runic writing along the side of it etched in on both sides of the barrel. The writing reads "You may never see it coming.". It sports a dark oak, finger grooved handle. The grooving for the handle has been made to be ambidextrous, allowing James to wield it in both hands with ease and comfort. While also making it harder to hold for others, with the groove specific to James' hands. What makes this gun unique is that it has a special coating that can make the gun seem a different color or texture, allowing James with the right angle of light to seeming make the gun disappear from his targets sight. James wear a pair of special contact lens that allows him to see it all times, he can also tilt it a specific way to allow others to see it, if not using it in combat.
2. Fata Morgana is a 9in oriental dagger. The dagger is solid black, with the cutting edge being chrome. It also has a set of 5 designed holes along the length of the blade, with runic writings right up the holes. The writing reads "Your eyes may very well deceive you.". Its handle is also made from dark oak wood, with the same finger groove system as Subterfuge. The uniqueness of Fata Morgana is that the 5 holes act similar to a tuning fork and produced a ringing sound when wind passes through them (ex. when being swung) while using a small bit of Alchemical energy. The ringing enters the ear and momentarily make the one who hears it slightly disoriented, like being dizzy, making them seeing multiple. This last for only a few seconds, unless the blade is used again to emit the sound. Its edge is also laced with Anti-Alchemical poison.
3. Launching mechanism is a simple, small, launcher located on both of James' wrist. With them he can launch very durable wires for various purposes. They can launch at a maximum distance of 50ft.

Alchemy specialization: Sensory Manipulation is a specialization that effectively lets James make illusions targeting one, or more, of a targets senses. From making them see something that isn't there, or ear something, feel something, smell something, or even taste something. As a Level 3 casts, is can only affect at most a handful of people at a time, and although it can act on the sense of touch, it cannot inflict pain. A Level 2 casts would increase the amount of people affects and allow for, at most, moderate pain influence. A Level 1 cast could affect a large city and even have an illusion inflict death.

Appearance: James is of an average build, though not being specifically muscular even for his build; although, he makes up for it by being rather agile and quick in his actions. He has short, slightly balding, blonde hair. He has hazel-brown eyes with two different size pupils, his right pupil usually being rather large, while his left is normal or rather small. His nose slightly crooked, from obvious signs of being broken several times. He has a slightly large forehead, with an 'S'-shaped scar on the upper left of it.

His clothing consist of dark blue pants, simple pair of solid black tennis shoes, a white buttoned up shirt, a black leather belt, and a faded black sports coat. His sports coat is lined in the insides, being sewed into it, a chain plate designed kevlar vest, though still be really lightweight. He where a vested holster, where he keeps Subterfuge in the right holster over his right rib, and Fata Morgana in the opposite holster over his left rib cage. On his belt, located at his lower back, James has two pouches on him. Both holding speed loaders for his revolver, giving him 4 extra reloads, plus the already fully loaded gun.

Personality: James is a brilliant, though partially insane, person, easily considered a genius. Though despite that, due to over use of Alchemy, is has lost a bit of his sanity. It is not known exactly how much, but it is clear to anyone who see's him that there is something indeed wrong with him. He isn't considered a threat by anyone at that A.M.R.O., mostly due to showing that he can still be capable of performing any task. He can hold any conversation, though if he is let will rant about useless things. He always has a tendency to say something in a rather consulted, puzzling way, usually pretending he is talking to himself in the process. But if followed, mostly anyone can understand him. He has a fascination, being an occultist of it, of Alchemy as a whole, but more specifically any artifacts that mat exist in the world.

History: (I will edit this later with this part in it. I just wanted to get the above in now.)

Other:

• I wanted to make the character based off something along the lines of "Your eyes may deceive you", as such with the weapons and alchemy specialization. As well as make him a tad bit coo-coo. XD Always my favorite characters, they be so interesting.
• I based his personality, some of it, and appearance off Johnny Powell. From the Darkness comics and video games.

i have to say I enjoyed reading your character and I am looking forward to see how you handle him in the RP. Looks like we have got quite the awesome batch of new members. You and Daisy will make a wonderful addition to the Chrono Asylum family. xD I have one suggestion however, I want you to change the functions of Fata Morgana. Instead of the illusions being created solely from the sound produced from the blade have it done through both the sound as well a slight use of Alchemy.
