Kingdom of Heartless -REDUX RP

"Ugh." Benito said and he jumped behind the woman and covered her mouth and her nose making her unable to breathe. After some struggling she stopped resisting and fell on the desk in front of her. "She's not dead. Just passed out." He said as he took the guest book and wrote his name in it with the pen that was in the ladies pocket protector. Benito's body was fully healed. There was maybe some scratches on his body but the power of the darkness inside him took in some of the power of the giant heartless and healed his body. The stuff inside me is becoming stronger and I won't be able to contain it if it keeps consuming like this. Maybe if I stick with these guys i'll be able to not too rely on this power anymore. Benito thought as he slung the sheathed sword from his hip to his back and turned up the stairs of the inn into the room he would like to sleep in.

Lium watched in shock as the tall man subdued the woman. "I-I don't really think that was neccessary..." he muttered softly as he dusted himself off. He made his way over to the lady to make sure she was alright,even going as far as placing her comfortly in a chair for when she woke up. He wrote down his name in the guestbook and an apology for their rudeness, placing it next to her along with a handfull of munny. He doubted for a moment before placing some more of the odd shaped coins on the desk, some of the others where new here and probably couldn't pay for their stay.

He turned towards Jin, a nervous smile on his face. "Well,uhm,goodnight. Try not to scare the other guests alright?" He gave a final nod towards Jin before making his way up the stairs into his room.

His hat was all crumpled up from the beatings with the broom he got, making him frown as he tried to straighten it out as he made his way to the balcony, leaning slightly on it and looking at the town that lay stretched out below him. Memories of today running through his head, the many enemies they had fought and above all his new friends. Karuki's bravery, Jin who looked so much like him, Benito the powerful swordsman and Taki who had a nice smile and was really strong.

He smiled before going to bed, tipping his broad-rimmed hat in front of his eyes. "I'm not alone anymore..." Was his last thought before he drifted off to sleep.

Taki had walked into the Inn, others following, and headed towards the clerk at the front counter. The lady behind the counter screamed at the top of her lungs looking straight at Taki. "I'm not THAT ugly," she was about to snort until she realized the woman was shrieking at "Nice" heartless, who happened to be standing behind her. Taki was about to explain but Lium beat her to it. To her utter amusement the lady responded by pelting him over the head with a broom. It was too much, the scene was just to hilarious. Taki doubled over laughing, unable to do anything else.

"Nice" heartless then tried to stop her assault by snapping the broom itself, which then caused her to resort to screaming again. Taki almost felt guilting laughing at the spectacle, but she couldn't do anything about it. Almost falling over at the same time, she burst into a laughing fit all over again. It wasn't until Benito caused the woman to pass out did Taki stop her fit. For a second she was worried, but he reasured them that the lady was merely unconcious.

Taki walked towards the guestbook after Benito retreated to the upstairs and Lium tried to make the situation with the lady better, after going upstairs himself. She stopped to check the pile of money Lium placed beside her to make sure it would pay for everybody else. Postive the sum was fine, Taki added her own pay and wrote everyone else's name into the guest book with hurried, messy writing. After an exaggerated signal for everybody to come upstairs and find themselves somewhere comfortable to sleep, she went upstairs to find a cozy room with a large window. Everything was neat and tidy, as it should be, but Taki could care less. Sleep was the only thing on her mind. If the room was a closet filled with random towels and cleaning supplies she still could've found a way to snooze. Taki poked her head out the door, into the hallway, to call a goodnight to everyone and dozed off as soon as her head hit the downy pillow.

Once Karuki entered the hotel, he looked at the clerk behind the front desk as Taki walked up to her. Suddenly the clerk started screaming at Jin. Shortly after, Lium tried to explain to the clerk and calm her down, but the clerk started wacking Lium's head with a broom. Taki doubled over laughing at the clerks' actions, and Karuki joined in. Jin snapped the broom to end the clerks' humorus abuse towards Lium. Karuki and Taki continued laughing, until Benito covered the ladys face and caused her to go unconcious by covering her nose and mouth. For a moment, Karuki was concerned, but then Benito said she had only passed out.

After the incident, Taki scribbled names down in the guest book and put some munny beside the pile Lium put. As she made her way to the stairs, Karuki walked over to the guest book and noticed his name was written down, and enough munny was placed to pay for everybody. Karuki, beginning to slowly be consumed by sleepiness, staggered up the stairs and made his way to a room. His room was quite plain, with sliding glass doors that led to a balcony. He heard Taki say goodnight, "Night." Karuki replied, while quietly closing his door. He watched the sun slowly rise, as he slide open the glass door to the balcony and sat down against the walls surrounding the concrete platform.

"I'll.. protect-..." Karuki mumbled, when suddenly his vision went black. His sword made a little 'thud' against the concrete surface of the balcony as his body went limp; for he was now consumed by sleepiness entirely.

jin watched curiously as Benito sedated the woman, while the others subsided their curious laughter at the woman's reaction. he liked this, despite the woman's screams. he fallowed the others up the stairs, each of them retiring to another curiosity known as sleep.
he knows that heartless consume hearts, souls of those with strong hearts become heartless, however, they lose everything while being changed. why was he so different. he pndered this as he sat on the floor of the hall, just waiting. being a heartless he didnt sleep.
he heard the others as they gave into their bodly need for rest say "good night". he smiled, he struggled his mouth into the right shaping making odd sound in the process eventually saying,"n-night."
he then stared off into space awaiting for them to awake, ready to defend or wake if he had to. if he was to stick with him he wanted to protect them. the first human's who didnt just simply fear him. he liked this.

Out of nowhere Jin hears a voice in his head and only he can hear "You impressed me! But you know heartless can't have friends. Why do you try? You will steal their hearts you know. I like you my pet. You are unique not like these mindless pawns bet even then you will soon grow weak from the heartless power and you will soon hunger for your friends they do have plentiful hearts for you to feast! You will feed and then I will be done with this ugly curse! It is simple as that"

Jin's antenna twitched as the disembodied voice chorused through his head, he replied, unhindered by his know-how to speaking," i am not your pet, i may be heartless odd one but i am obviously different. i have observed my kin and i am as far as i've seen, the only one of conscious thought. yes i have a craving but i refuse to feed on an unstolen heart. i will destroy the consuming heartless and the one who manipulates my kin and bring the heartless back to what i believe was a natural state. i am not your ally and since you decide to aid the controller regardless of your current state, your willingness to just give in just shows how truly weak you are!" jin found himself growling out loud, "as long as you serve the controller... you are my enemy."

Several hours later while everyone was still sleeping, a cat climbed up onto Karuki's balcony. Karuki snoozed silently as the cat crawled up beside him and started rubbing its head on Karuki's cheek. "Taki.... I....." he mumbled. "L-luim......?? ACHOO!" Karuki awoke, after his unexpected sneeze. "Woaah!" he jumped when he saw the grey cat huddled beside him.

Karuki pet the cat as he scratched his back, pondering how long he had slept. He looked at blue sky above,... then yawned.


A few moments later he glanced down at the black sword laying beside him. He paused a moment; then reached down and picked it up.


I wonder what these symbols mean.... He thought, as he looked near the bottom of the blade.

Karuki gently sat the sword back down and began to whistle a little tune he hadn't heard before. As he whistled, he stood up, then walked over and leaned against the rail of the balcony, and looked down at the quiet town below him.

Lium found himself in a dark room, he only thing visible seemed to be a deep red velvet curtain with some sort of throne before it. His heart pounded in his chest as he slowly approached, unsure of what was going on. As he neared, he heard a menacing laugh behind him, causing him to spin around and nervously stare into the darkness. When he couldn't see anything he turned back around, nearly jumping out of his skin when he saw a silver haired man with odd robes sitting on the throne, seemingly having appeared out of thin air.

"W-Who are you?" He called out nervously,fidgetting with the edge of his coat. The silver-haired man merely smiled, causing cold chills to run down Lium's spine. "You don't remember puppet?" His voice was soft and melodious, under any other circumstances Lium would have called it friendly, but here it held something dark and threatening. "It doesn't matter, the dramatis personae have appeared, the curtain has oppened. Soon, you will remember what you are aswell as that which you were born to do." Evil glee echoed within that last sentence and as soon as the last of its tones drifted into silence, the man dissappeared. "W-wait, you know who and what I am? Tell me, I need to know!!" Lium called out desperatly, but it was pointless, he was alone again.

Lium's eyes snapped open, staring into the dark insides of his hat. He sat up and tilted it back into place, staring in front of him. He was breathing heavy and sweating, as hundreds of thoughts ran through his head. Who was that man, why did he seem so familiar, how did he know about him? Lium decided to take a walk, it might clear up his mind, it seemed morning was coming, a soft light illuminating the town. He sat down on a bench in front of the inn, breathing in the crisp morning air as he watched the flow of water in a small fountain.

Vezio laughs in Jin's head "You have a conscience yes but that only means that I have to break you more and you know deep in your conscience that I am stronger than you and that will never change no matter what heartless you eat! Only way to become somewhat close to my power is to eat your friends of yours! It makes me laugh to see a heartless have friends and pretends that he has a heart. Oh well we can't be all perfect."
