That was until she suddenly was thrown up in the air and landed hard, left side first on a glowing platform of some kind.
It hurt like hell, but soon the pain faded almost as fast as it had come. Mediately all the tiredness disappeared and her adrenalin pumped energy into her body making her every sense become alert and awake.
She sat up and then slowly she stood up, swaying a little almost loosing her balance. She wasn't used to this body. She looked up. In front of her laid the Why-boy, obviously surprised by suddenly being on a flying square. around her were several other people that seemed to be battling on squares to. Behind the why boy she spotted someone she think she saw in the gondola. A girl with wings...? No.. she didn't know her.
Looking to her left on the other hand, she saw someone she recognized. And it wasn't someone she wanted to see. It was the green-haired man. And he seemed furious. Is it me he's mad at..? Riley feared. Hope he doesn't see me... He can't find me. She swayed and staggered (seeing how she barely knew this new shape) in behind the first pile of metal she saw and grabbed what looked like a kitchen-pot and put it on her head, trying to hide the illuminating green hair she wore.

Then she carefully looked at her surroundings. There was battle all around her. Everything was in chaos, but the thing that cached her eye once again was the why-boy. Somehow he seemed more chaos like than anything around her. On her way of standing up again she suddenly felt the wave of ice cold cover her body. "Oh no.. no, no, no.. not again. I cant be a shape shifter... This..." The coldness made her shiver and she started walking back and forth trying to keep up her warmth. The kitchen-pot fell of her head. Then she noticed her hands shifting again. They shifted back to her own. "Thank god..." she mumbled. then she realized that the transformation wouldn't stop. Once again her hands changed, and she was the why-boy again. The shivering stopped and she suddenly felt warm again.

Alexie blinked his eyes open as he felt the chilled air rushing past his ears, it sounded as if he stood by a jet turbine or something. Looking down, he was quite obviously alarmed when he felt his ascension stop, and his descent begin. All at once the voices spoke up in some sort of odd, almost alien unity, and said a single word; "Move!"
Functioning on something that you couldn't even call instinct, the pale boy spun out of his balled up position and hit the glowing platform with a light thump, his knees bent. He looked almost like an acrobat, standing there with his arms spread widely with one foot infront of another. Pulling out of the pose a brief moment later, he couldn't help but wonder the following.
'How, the f*ck, did I do that?'
Of course, he had exactly 0.2 seconds to get this out before the voices decided they'd been quiet for quite long enough.

However, when he began to look around, mostly out of the sheer paranoia that he was suffering from, he saw a green-haired man standing across the platform from him, the same green-haired man who had been on the boat. Oddly enough however, was the fact that on the next platfrom-thing behind the man, stood an exact duplicate of him, which served only to confuse the disturbed boy. He paid no more attention to the figure however, when he saw a large pile of seemingly useless junk and proceeded to dig through it.
Finally, towards the edge nearest to him, he saw something that appealed to him, and the many voices in his mindspace. Grasping at the three and a half foot long metal rod, which was maybe the width of his pinky finger, he looked it up and down. It was obviously solid, but it wiggled and whipped about ever so slightly, as if it wished to move all places at once but ended up always in the same place. It reminded him slightly of himself, and the voices couldn't help but agree with him.

Looking up from his whippy piece of metal, he saw what looked to be a mirror reflection of him, only slightly different. His eyes weren't to off-red his were in that odd glow.
It wasn't a mirror, and it wasn't him.
He had nothing but contempt at the thing almost immeadiately, and stood up, backing up so he stood only two feet from the edge. The voices spoke in a jumble, yet all said the exact same thing.
They all agreed with the mad boy, agreeing that the thing was horrible, and obviously not a reflection. Then, they began to almost chant something, quietly, and then slowly getting louder.
However, they slowly stopped, until only a single booming voice spoke in his head, anger and hatred seething with the single word it repeated.
    'Kill.'
Nodding to himself, the red-eyed and pale skinned boy moved forwards slowly, and then a little faster until he was briskly walking towards the mirrorless reflection of himself. Pulling his arm back, he swung the whippy piece of metal at the thing's head, aiming to smack it senseless, and hopefully kill it.

Too occupied by her own transformation Riley hadn't noticed that the why-boy had picked up the metal rod and was now swinging it towards her head. But just before the blow she noticed. Last second before the impact she lifted her arm blocking the attack, but to some cost. She felt the bone in her arm snap in at least two spots, and the pain that followed almost mediately was excruciating, causing her to scream. The blow made her unwillingly side step twice, almost causing her to trip on what seemed to be a silver lizard. (The metal pieces are supposed to be art right? or at least some of them?) Riley forced herself to stop screaming, then she bit her lips trying to block out the pain of the arm.
He's crazy. Crazy!! The pain was much, but she could handle it. She would have to or else this maniac would kill her. With her right injured arm just hanging beside her she reached for one of the metal chess pieces located to the left of her, and she broke lose a rod that the king held. She would have to fight.

As quick as she could she positioned herself in a defense stance, rod held out in front of her. "Don't come c-c-closer." She said with a shaky voice that wasn't her own. "D-don't or I will have to fight you..."

    (reserving for epic post)

The pain in her broken arm was unbearable as Riley struggled to hold on to the edge. Alexie looked down on her. Blood was running along the boys face and it was dripping on the ground making it even harder for Riley to hold on to the edge. As she tried to heave herself up again she felt a sharp pain in her ribs where the boy had kicked her earlier. A pain filled groan escaped her lips and the maniac boy smiled. Screw.. this. Riley thought and pushed the pain away for a second to reach out and grab the boys leg. As she hoped the boy wasn't prepared for that move, and she finally had something to hold on to more than the edge.

Suddenly she felt something hard hit her across her shoulder. She screamed and was about to lose her grip when the boy tripped forward. She looked up to see what caused him to, but almost immediately she felt the pain of a thousand needles penetrate every inch of her that was over the platform. Head, arms shoulders, neck. Her grip of the boys leg weakened fast, but she refused to fall if the boy didn't to. She held on hard. She felt the life be taken away from her once again. Slowly and unmercifully. But still she held on.

Soon the platform was filled with the boys blood as well as hers and she felt the boy's corpse slipping towards the edge. She smiled. She wouldn't go down alone.

I win... Was Riley's final thought before both the boy's corps and herself fell off the platform, pierced with nails and filled with cuts and injuries.
