My House of Creativity, The Dark Wood. I am a student with less than a year from their Bachelors in Fine Art, working to become a professional Concept Artist. The last fourteen months came with inspiration, time, and passion enough to deepen my experiments in digital painting and more traditional mediums. Because of this time I can say that I am a practicing Illustrator, Designer, Ink & Watercolourist, and Printmaker (Woodcut), with deep interests in Art History, Design, and the relationship between Self and Mythos. I use the skills I've learned from each medium to inform my work, despite their differing materials or subject matter. If you are interested, I have been instructed by Jenene Nagy, Lisa Sweet, ,Marilyn Frasca, Amjad Faur, and Sally Cloninger. Lastly, what I produce is protected under the Creative Commons license, Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported.

A Gentleman's Feud

Premise:
With a hatred left only to grow, two young men agree to a duel. William (Piel, Shot 2) and Juin (Ortiz, Shot 3) begin what could be the last day of their lives each in their own individual fashion. A weathered veteran now drunkard, William meets dawn with a flask and rifle in front of him. The drunken haze overcomes him, in this state he sees his enemy. Meanwhile, Juin sits in alone in a cafe meditating on what may come.

Two pieces. One soon to be finished, another I just finished the sketch of and am currently transferring over to a thicker paper, more suited for wet media (watercolour, in particular).

The first of the two shows I'd mentioned before will be an artists' collective I helped organize last year. Great bunch of talented people far more active and skilled than I am! Since we have so many bodies, I'm submitting one work, though it may well be the largest... So, hope they don't mind. The next group show is slated for March 12th-23rd, pretty short! If things go well in the next ten weeks I should have 4-6 pieces to show. Send me good vibes!

Quick, simple, and small storyboard for a production I'll be filming Thursday, June 6th. I'll provide a link to the piece by Monday if possible.

After this, my next rush of updates will likely be moving image. I've been doing a lot of work in our television studio and designed to the visual elements for two projects so far. I'm excited to share these with all of you.

Just a teaser from today. We filmed this morning and though I don't necessarily agree with some of the shots our Director chose, I do love how the visuals turned out. As Production Designer, how everything in front of the camera looks was my job to orchestrate. Once I have the link to the piece I will begin uploading some photos and maybe the script.

Just a note. This is a student created film with very limited budget. My role was Production Designer and a minor acting part (if you could call it that). I designed the storyboards, collaborated on the shot list, planned the lighting, and did set design. Though I helped decide on some shots, the ultimate say on what would be filmed was the Director's. Finally, this was a live production.

A man finds himself amidst an identity crisis. He is confronted by an ambiguous figure that interrogates him and forces him to engage with the very parts of himself he struggles with the most.
