Most of my forum RP experience comes from a different forum with a much different community, so I'm speaking mostly from my experience there.
I refuse to really identify with a "level," though if I had to I would say I'm between casual and advanced. In my experience, there is legit roleplaying, then there is writing with an added bonus of involving RP. Being a great author does not mean you're a good roleplayer though. While I prefer to crank out several paragraphs for most of my posts and use somewhat high quality vocabulary, that alone doesn't prove anything. To me, one's ability to perform some good character interaction and development is what should measure your RP ability. I'm pretty sure that a lot of people in the Free RP level are much better than some in Advanced in terms of actual RP ability.
That said, I think I'm a mid level roleplayer. I think that's a more sortable classification than going with free, casual, and advanced.

On pure statistics-based talk, I'm a Casual to High Casual Rper. I can write several paragraphs, put deep, add character development and (when I feel like it) use a correct writing style/level of English literacy (yeah to Frenchsters !) However, on the "practical side", I like to consider myself as a bouncing Rper. Right, I can One-line as much as I can post 1 000+ words replies, everything depends of my mood, my partner and the Rp in question. That's mainly why I agree with my previous poster; it's "good" to classify roleplayers however we mustn't judge them on that and that only. One isn't necessarily considered as "good" if he's a Advanced roleplayer...
