Final Fantasy Ix based?

So I haven't seen hardly anything based on FFIX which was one of my personal favorites in the series... So I had an idea...


It has been 200 years since the fateful days of Zidane and friends' triumphant victory over Necron to save Gaia. The souls of Terra have slowly drifted in with those of Gaia to restore the people of Terra once more, now coinciding perfectly with those of Gaia instead of feeding off of them. The four Jewels have been redistributed amongst the land. It has been a time of great peace since the Iifa has collapsed and the mist now gone. Monsters still populate the wilderness, bred from those spawned of the Mist years ago. The mist engine lays extinct now, for Regent Cid in the time of Zidane had his steam engine widespread across the continents before the end of his time. Alexandria still stands under the command of Queen Jessia til Alexandros XIX. The Regency of Lindblum stands as strong as ever under Regent Cid Fabool XII. Burmecia has grown and meshed together with the old occupants of Cleyra, as it had never been restored to its former glory. Technology has advanced at a slower rate than what it would seem, but the leaders have been trying to preserve the old ways established in Zidane's time as it has allowed 200 years of peace and prosperity to reach them. But in the balance of things, when there is a time of great peace... There will be a time of great war.

A planet is coming within range of Gaia, much like Terra did thousands of years ago. It is unknown what the planet's name is, or if there is even any life on it. Historians fear that it may very well be another dying planet like Terra that is trying to merge with Gaia to feed off of its souls. Unwanting of another phenomenon such as that to happen, the rulers of Burmecia, Alexandria, and Linblum have searched through their lands looking for the greatest mages they have to try and find a way to push back the planet. Unbeknowst to them, their efforts are in vain...


So.... Anyone interested in it? I'm looking for 3-5 people to join up... It will be at least casual standards, but possibly advanced depending if everyone wants to to put it there or not.

This seems interesting. Is it possible to play a gunner class?

I'll allow it, mainly because that was probably the one thing I didn't like about FFIX, was there was no ranged class (archer, gunner, etc.), plus even though the tech is mainly the same, there are some different than there used to be.

Then I would like to give this one a shot ^^. I'm guessing the tech in firearms would be around the 17th century kinda? Flintlocks and so on
