Metamorphic with Regen is always sympathetic. Reflexes is mental so that's neither sympathetic nor a hindrance.

Why do you think it is tricky with metamorphic?
Well alot of the animal upgrades people usually want are strength, speed or agility. shapeshifting clashes with those.
