    Star Wars: Sith Arise

    http://roleplayerguild.com/f15/star-...dea-ooc-70203/

The Empire is long gone. The New Republic is being restored and attaining its lost territories.

Han Solo and Jedi Set Vellar set off to Taris to talk about setting up a military base. Although negotiations were good, they turned bad at night as Han Solo and Set Vellar are ambushed. Han Solo is fortunate enough to escape the ambush but the same can not be said for the Jedi.

Han Solo makes it back to Coruscant to break the news to Luke Skywalker. Puzzled as to why anybody would kidnap Set Vallar, Luke sends a couple of Jedi to Taris to find out what has happened to their missing Jedi compatriot.

The galaxy seems to be at peace since the fall of the empire. But, lurking around in the galaxy are the few Jedi who survived the Jedi Purge. Those Jedi now live for their own selfish needs and no longer follow the Jedi Code. Some of these have taken other under their wing and trained them in the ways of the Force.

Han Solo walked into the Jedi Headquarters in a fast paced and quickly told Luke of the situation that happened back on Tarin. Luke placed his hand on his chin and was silent for a while. The thought of what motive someone would have in kidnapping a Jedi clouded his thoughts.

"And how did you manage to make it back here?" Luke asks Han Solo

"I don't think they cared about me. Their prime concern was Set."

"It's weird that they'll just let you go like this. Don't they know that someone will go back looking for him?"

"Maybe that's what they want" Another voice came in from the door. It was Jedi Master Gin Intxausti and his apprentice, Jedi Knight Vizzal Cinn.

"You think this is a trap Master Intxausti?"

"Why not. They obviously let Solo off. They're expecting someone to go back for Set's aid"

"A trap, a social gathering" Gin pauses for a while and snaps his fingers "Maybe they just want to get to know us and invite us over for a nice meal. I say we go now." Luke says nothing and stares at Gin. Gin was a tough character at time. You never really knew when he was being serious or not. Luke sometimes found him to be more trouble than the younglings he trained. But, he put up with him because of his sheer age. Gin fought during the Clone Wars, survived Order 66 and the Jedi Purge. He was probably one of few, if not the only survivor of the Galactic Republic era.

"So what do you suggest we do Master?" says Luke

"Didn't you just hear me? I said we'll go" Gin says pointing at him and Vizzal. "We'll go, find this person and our friend and bring him back"

"Ok. Be careful and make sure to stay in touch. I can't afford losing any Jedi. Especially you"

Gin and Vizzal bow to Luke and head out. On their way out, they run into Orbaa. Gin was aware of Orbaa's progress in lightsaber combat and thought he could be a great attribute on their mission and invited him.

"After you doll" Gin steps out of the way and allows Vizzal to step inside a T-23 Skyhopper. Orbaa then goes ahead but is stopped by Gin. "Let your elders go first". Gin follows behind her and takes a seat in the pilots chair and waits for Orbaa to get inside. Punching in the controls, he straps himself in and the vessel takes off the ground and out of Coruscant's atmosphere.

"Any idea on how we're going to take this?" Vizzal asks her master

"I don't think so. I think i'll improvise on this one. It's just good to finally do something else other than teaching"

"You dread teaching? You taught me for years on Corellia. How much did you hate that?"

Gin chuckles and pats Vizzal on her head "I'm playing. I just wanted to get in on some action. I feel like i'm getting a bit rusty. I'm not getting any younger you know?"

"Master Yoda was many times older than you and fought with the energy of a youngster"

"Well, he was special. I'm just human. Prepare to go to hyperspace purple"

On Taris, Set wakes up to find himself in shackles. The room is dark and the brezze that slides in from under the door brings in an icy chill that brings goosebumps to his skin. He begins to yell for help but is only answered by the echoing of his voice.
*SLAM* a door is opened, the light from the other side blinds Set as he closes his eyes to protect him from the light. He can see a figure approaching him. "Who are you" Set yells.
"That's not important right now" the strange man says. "What i'm worried about right now is who's following your trail. We let that pilot of yours go on purpose. A Jedi like you can bring a nice ransom" A blue blade ignites right under Set's chin. The man waves it over his face, taunting him. Another blue blade is drawn. "This one's mine. You see, i'm a Jedi as well." Both blades are drawn back inside and the man leaves the room without saying a word. He closes the door to Set's prison, leaving him in the pitch darkness again. Set calms himself down, he now knows that they let Han Solo off on purpose. Surely he reported this back on Coruscant. And surely someone is coming to Taris to look for him. He takes several deep breaths and closes his eyes and falls asleep. There's no use for him to plan an escape, he'll simply wait for his rescue.

After her last run in with Starkiller, Maris went back home to Iridonia. There she led a quiet life abandoning the Republic, the Jedi, and her darker days. She locked away her unusual Lightsabers. For a time she was content living a quiet uneventful life, but like all good things it had to end. One night she was terrorized by visions of deadly Lightsaber duels and screams of anguish, pain, death. She never could see the participants they were nothing more than silhouettes, however the background was plain as day. She didn't recognize the location. The vision terrorized her every night, she feared it would drive her insane. She searched desperately for the location. It took her six agonizing months to find the location, Taris' capital city. She booked passage on the first ship to Taris. She only hoped that this would end the visions and that she could prevent another Jedi Civil War that devastated the Republic thousands of years ago.

Mesh'la had been in a cantina on Taris. She had been so confused after her battle with the Jedi on Rusaan. All those memories that master had put into her mind were fake, but on the other hand. soon after she had discovered, her whole family being killed by the jedi was also just another trick by the sith, to presaude her to hunt down jedi. Now it was hard to tell if either memories were right or wrong, perhaps her real ones were just buried down where she couldn't reach them. Was she really part of the Deathwatch clan? Did her parents even die? Her whole life was filled with mysteries that she couldn't put together. Her life was more complicated then ever. She sometimes even wondered if she was a mandalorian, she bared the armor, but who knows. For all she knew she wasn't even real, just some cloned concation given false memories. She had only tooken a single drink, but whatever it was it was powerful stuff. She paid for it, a little too much, but the bartender didn't give a hoot. She stumbled out of the bar. She still was a bounty hunter and had a job to do, which was going to be a huge problem.

Han Solo gave Gin the location from where he himself landed his Millenium Falcon, Gin touched his ship down on the same location. Along with that location, Han also told Gin where they were ambushed. Gin knew that their ambusher didn't make daily trips to that location to jump on random bystanders.

For hours, Gin, Orbaa and Vizzal went around asking and showing people a holocron of Set to see if anybody had seen him or provide information on his whereabouts. For everyone they asked, they recieved the same answer, no.

As daylight started to fade on the planet, Gin had one last place to go search. The Lower City. If anybody guilty for kidnapping was around, this would surely be the ideal spot to search. When Gin reached the Lower City, his instinct told him he was on the right track. The only thing was that, he didn't know where to start looking. To start off, Orbaa, Gin and Vizzal began showing the holocron of Set to everyone they came across. After relentless searching, a Rodian finally gave Gin what seemed to be some helpful information. The Rodian told him of a cantina runned by a Jedi who's known as King. The word "Jedi" shocked Gin. He didn't think there were any Jedi outside of Coruscant. There was no doubting this person, he was telling the truth. Thanking the Rodian, Gin, Orbaa and Vizzal followed the directions given to them by the green humanoid.

The cantina appeared to have no name. It looked like huge slabs of rocks stacked all over each other to construct a building. Inside, the lighting was dim, almost concealing the face of everyone there. Music played at a low volume and the sounds of drinks being poured and being slammed on the table was heard throughout the cantina.
"Try not to attract so much attention. Stay here and look out for any potential dangers." Gin instructed Vizzal and Orbaa
Gin walks over to the bartender and gets a seat close to the barkeep. A conversation was started regarding Set and this Jedi known as King. Gin could feel that the bartender knew exactly what he was talking about but was holding back the details. Jedi mind tricks were not to be used. If there was a Jedi present, he didn't want to attract his attention just yet. So he left his seat and looked around to see if there was a path leading to some backroom. A backroom would most likely be the area where they were keeping Set.
"I think that might be what you're looking for master" Vizzal pointed at a slim walkway behind the bar. Vizzal dimmed the lights long enough for her and her master to be able to slip behind the bar and onto the hallway. There wasn't much space, Gin, Orbaa and Vizzal had to walk behind each other. Up ahead, the walls seemed to expand and lead into a light.

Mesh'la had been too drunk to even make it to her target, let alone the street. She had ended up passing out against the wall of a nearby building to the Cantina she was just in. She awoke after a couple of hours with a pain in her head from the hangover. She came to her senses as her helmet sprayed some chemicals into her breathing mask to stimulate her. She looked around herself and cursed as she looked at the time, her target would be off planet by now. She stood up and dropped her jaw in amazement as she could of swore she saw the same two jedi from Rusaan, followed by what seemed to be another. She knew it was time to pay them a visit and to maybe see if his padawan still had the honor to bare the symbol she had given her on Rusaan. She was about to follow them when she realized she was lighter than usual. She saw that someone had stolen her jetpack. Lucky she had a tracking device and it soon popped up on her HUD map of the city. Somewhere inside the bar.

"When will people ever learn, you never steal from a Mandalorian. Same thing as biting off more than you can chew, but far worse." She walked back into the bar and looked around. An arrow was pointing to a slim walkway. She started to make her way when the Bartender stopped her. "Hey missy, that's off limits to customers." She gave a small laugh and continued to take another step. Now the Bartender had a small arms blaster and two huge thugs were behind her. "Obviously you didn't hear what I said missy." He repeated with a grin on his face.

"Dush shaadlar." She said in her native tounge, the bartender wasn't too strong in any language other than basic, but he could tell by her tone that what ever she said wasn't good. She turned around and lept over one thug and wrapped her grappling wire around his neck and let the other two shoot him. She quickly pulled out her blaster and shot the other thug square in the face. She kicked the dead thug body she had used as a body shield over the counter and right into the bartender. Their were some screaming going on from the regular citizens, but some of the gansters and such now had their blasters out. She smiled beneath her helmet. They fired at her, but she had already rolled forward through one mans leg. She came up and around the broke both his legs. When he fell over she twisted his neck ending his life. She turned to face another thug who she fired a posion dart into the eye making him scream like a girl before landing face first dead into the ground.

Now their were two more left. One rushed her, but she stepped to the side pulled his own blaster out while he tumbled to the ground and shot him in the back of the head. she tossed the blaster away and notice the last one had a thermal grenade. "You wouldn't." She said in a scaried voice on purpose. He gave a small laugh of his own. "Oh I would." He had a smile across his face. "No, I didn't mean that like a statement. I ment it like you really won't." She said, now he was a bit confused, but met his fate the same as the others as she drew her blaster and emptied a dozen rounds before he could think about activating the dentonator. She put her blaster away and headed down the hallway. She was close to her jetpack. Which was her main prority now.

The Transcendence landed on Taris, it's passengers disembarked with little fanfare while LynVon walked the ship picking up after them. Once the ship was to his standards he locked out navigation to his voice print.

With his ship secured he existed and proceeded into the city. It was his first time on Taris and he wanted to look around before he made any plans. He thought about that a moment. "I guess that is a plan of sorts."

He eventually found himself at a sloppily built cantina in Lower City. He had always found cantinas to be an interesting place to visit, so he stepped in. "Someone's been busy eliminating the disreputable. No one to stop me from looking in the back and helping myself to the good stuff. He proceeded down a very narrow hallway.

Upon arriving on Taris Maris found an out of the way spot and began meditation hoping to get a clearer picture of what she saw and maybe learn more about who the players were involved. She had never actually tried to focus on a vision before she wasn't sure she had the discipline to do it but she had to try. She stood after an hour. "King? I must find this king." She went to capital and began looking for the king's palace.

Oorba Styrk was delighted that Jedi Master Gin asked him to join him on a mission to Taris. He followed Gin and his apprentice to thier ship, and when the older Jedi stepped aside for Vizzal to board first, he started for the boarding ramp after her, but Gin stopped him. Oorba bowed, and let the taller human pass him(Oorba only being 5 Foot).

When they landed on Taris, Oorba let Gin and Vizzal lead the way, following thier quest to find Set. Arriving at the Cantina, Oorba stayed close to Gin and Vizzal, trying to avoid attention. He followed the two aliens into a back-coridor, not as cramped as the taller Human and Twi'lek. He was behind the both of them, and could only see the light at the end of the hall shining around thier silohuetes.

There's no need to justify the meaningless destruction.
The voices always tell me that it's how I'm meant to function.

Over at the end of the slim hallway where the light was seen, two silhouette figures appeared at the end. They seemed to stand with what seemed like blasters in their hands. "Hands up and slowly come this way" one of them ordered to the three Jedi. There was no turning back, if they did, they would be shot down before they made it back to the cantina entrance. Doing as told, Gin and his 2 other Jedi made their way to the armed men. They wore what seemed to be really old stormtrooper uniforms, only they wore helmets with tubes which seemed to be where they breathed from. One by one, they were shoved onto a square room. There seemed to be no doors or windows, just walls. Gin was wondering what exactly it was these men were protecting. They were all frisked for any potential dangers they could bestow. The soldiers eventually found their lightsabers and took them away from Gin, Vizzal and Orbaa. They seemed fascinated by the sabers as they played them around, inspecting them and looking at them up close. The a slight chuckle was heard from the one on the left.
"Jedi huh? King will surely be happy to meet you three"
When the soldier said the name King, Gin was delighted. He knew that by surrendering themselves to these guys would eventually lead them to this King guy. Besides, Gin wasn't really without a weapon. The soliders seemed to miss the one weapon Gin always keep hidden away in his boot. A telescoping staff made from phrik metal. It replaced his lightsaber if it was even misplaced as it was abale to deflect blaster shots and the strike from a lightsaber.

The barrels of the blasters stabbed the Jedi in the back as they were ordered to walk, one soldier pressed his hand against the stone wall and a secret door slide open, leading down a staircase. Faintly, you can hear the sound of music playing downstairs and the laughter of people. Gin slowly got himself together and tried to locate Set's signal but got nothing. He really wasn't hoping he wasn't dead. Dead or alive, he would surely find out soon.

Mesh'la watched as the Jedi were put in a square room. She scanned the the soldiers, they were wanted alive for a couple thousand credits each, but dead they were worth 1'000. It would have to do, it wasn't a regular job. She watched as the jedi were then lead to a secret staircase. Mesh'la's jetpack tracking device was coming from down below. It wasn't too much further. She took out her blaster and ran up quietly to the closet one and put a hand over his mouth and a blaster to his back and drug him back up stairs where she finished him quickly and silently. She headed back downstairs and saw the other she took aim and fired another poison dart into his neck. She slid down a couple of steps and caught the body as it fell back. She drug it up only a few steps and out of sight. She watched as credits poured into her account. She headed back down stairs there was one soldier left, but she decided to hang back a little and see where she took the jedi.
