The figure turned, wind out and pointed to each of the arrows that sailed through the air, each stopping abruptly, as if held by some unseen hand and then each of them exploded into tiny little splinters that turned into harmless, brightly colour sparks that showered the group in a myriad of different colours. Under the cowl of his cloak the figure smiled widely and gave a small chuckle, simple party tricks these were.
The figure knew that these guards were not from Halin as they claimed, perhaps they were from another nearby town but certainly they did not hail from Halin. And what aggression! No guards he knew would have such audacity! With another wave of his wand the riders would find themselves sorely pressed to advance further for the figure had erected a firm barrier.

With the immediate danger dealt with, the figure moved about the group tapping each of them on the forehead with his wand, it’s tip glowing violently, each member was marked with the an arcane rune, each the same, each glowing a soft gold. The figure marked himself to.
~ It seems our time here is limited, we will leave immediately, try to hold your breath, keep your arms inside the planar tunnel at all times at risk of bodily injury. Ask no questions, all will be answered in due time.~ The figure telepathed to each member, each would get the same message.

Then the figure began to chant lowly, his voice ominous and highly arcane. The scene before them began to wavier as if the air before them had suddenly gotten really hot, their figures stretched upwards into a singular point in above them and then they were gone. They traveled along a planar path, moving quickly. This was teleportation, a rare magical art newly discovered and only to be used by the most powerful and experienced of magi.

At the end of the teleportation they would wind up in a plain room, adorned with overstuffed chairs and pillows enough for each of the members to sit comfortably. Though not before they threw up, as was the cost of ones first teleportation, it was an unavoidable occurrence sadly, even the figure threw up, his vomit magically disappearing as it came out. But there were advantages to be gained with teleportation, namely the ability to instantly get from point A to point B with little effort providing you had the magical knowledge and skill to use teleportation.

~After you’ve finished throwing up I will answer your questions, but do not speak aloud, or else.~ The figure warned, what they would have to figure out on their own was that the figure had given them the ability to telepath, though it would be nigh but impossibly to realize that, thus the figures challenge. This was a test, they’d need to figure out how to telepath a skill not easily mastered, most likely their questions would first come out as a jumbled mess.

Archimedes could barely control the disgusting mix of solids and liquids that now surged the wrong direction up his esophagus and erupted from his mouth and thankfully didn’t land on any of his clothes. He hated teleportation. He had only done it once before this and had experienced much the same result, only solidifying his belief that such a mode of transportation was not for him. Looking around he noticed only one person that seemed familiar, and that was the only one in the room that wasn’t throwing up nearly as much as the rest of the group. He had met the mage before, and it was during their previous encounter that he had received the arcane rune that glowed softly on his forehead. Looking at the others it seemed that he had marked them all the same as well. In their previous meeting the mage had been very cryptic about who he was, and the only information Archimedes had been able to ascertain was that he was able to help Archimedes with his mission. He assumed that’s why he’d been brought here now with the others.

Prior to his mark being activated he had been in the middle of interrogating a dark elf who he thought had information on those that attacked the village his friend had visited all those years ago. The interrogation hadn’t been going well, however, so it was just as well that he had been called away. Any further thoughts he had were interrupted by the intrusion of voice in his head, one he assumed belonged to the mage.

~After you’ve finished throwing up I will answer your questions, but do not speak aloud, or else.~

~”Don’t speak aloud?~ Archimedes wondered. Assuming that perhaps if the mage had telepathy then he had already read the minds of the others and intended to respond to each of their questions individually, Archimedes followed instructions, saying nothing.

Aither had draw his sword during the attack and didn't have time to sheath it before being whisked away by the the mage's spell and despite his best effort the blade had lost a bit of the tip. Being his sister sword Aither was a little displeased, but it was far from useless with the way his magic worked.

Otherwise the teleportation was enjoyable to the Rinku. The Mountain Folk were quite the hardy people. He was uncomfortably queasy, but he gracefully knelt rather than double over, but that would pass he was sure. The mage, he decided, was quite impressive. It took mass amounts of energy to instantly move from place to another for one person let alone several. I admire your skill and power. However you need to explain yourself. For starters, your name.

Aither was getting a sword-itchy and wanted a fight so he was a little miffed he didn't get a chance at the attacker. He didn't like this thought-communication either. Nobody she be aloud in Aither's head but Aither. Aither stood slowly. He was struck by a more intense stomach pain, but he gave no visible sign of weakness. That had always been his way. To stay strong.

The moment they group had land in the room Talon fell to the ground and threw up all that he had eaten that day. It seems he suffered from the teleportation a little more then the rest he lied on the ground still tossing and turning. He was still in a queasy state. He thought he heard something but he didn’t see anyone speak. He disregarded it think it was an effect of the teleportation. He was about to let out a loud yell of pain but instead of seeming weak he kept in inside. ~AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH~ he screamed to himself.

He tried to gather himself but he could not. He tried to stand but his legs where to weak. ~what is happening to me~ he thought to himself again. He realized he must try to seem strong so he was able to get to a sitting possession. From here he went into a meditative state where he could block out must of the pain. Once he cleared his mind he could here the voices of his comrades in his head.

As Loki was trying to get his comrades away from him, something unexpected happened to him. He heard an unknown voice, and felt him being teleported to some other place. Once the teleportation trip was over, he fell in the a room of some sorts, confused and having a cut on his hand due to the teleportation. He growled and got up, and began to hear to some unknown person's voice.

He said in an angered voice, but not to the point of yelling. "Who are you!.." Loki stated, and clenched his fist. He pulled a side of his cloak to a side, revealing his short sword, and put a hand on it. He had no reason to trust this unknown person, and would demand for answers, no matter what the cost.

The figured signed, Loki, foolish foolish Loki. ~I had told you not to talk, now your err will effect the others.~ The figured telepathed. Immediately following the telepath each member would be berreted with pain so intense that it would verge on killing them and images horrid enough to make the average man go insane. ~There, now do we understand eachother? I gave you a simple order and all you had to do was follow it, simply not talk. I had brought you here to teach you telepathy, but it seems you are not interested. A shame it's a useful tool. But I will give you one more chance, next who talks WILL be killed,~ The figure told them each ~Upon yer' success you may exit by telepathing the word 'Exit', but only after you have had success in learning telepathy. Now, begin.~ the figure added then ascended to leviatate in the center of the room.

Aither collapsed to his knees from the sheer amount of pain. The images were frightening sure, but he had seen worse. Aither stood after sometime and gave a grim express to the mage. ~I see now. No one learns well under this. This is the method of tyrants!.~ Aither didn't know why he obeyed. He should martyr himself right here and stand up for the others. Aither feared death. The pain, the images. They weren't the worse. Aither had seen much worse. ~You're powerful, mage. That much I know, but we will not be treated so cruelly.~ He would rebel in the lines the mage had set out. Probably end up dead anyway. Something drove Aither though something the others wouldn't understand, something Aither didn't understand. Unlike them, Aither had come face-to-face with his enemy. Face-to-face with the murder of the le'Took clan and still Aither could not hate his brother.

For Aither, who had been around mages his whole life, telepathy was something he could grasp. He picked up the basics, words and tone, and decided that was enough. Emotion and image seemed too difficult to transmit to others and he wanted to no part in causing the same strain the mage had. So there only one thing left to do. Piss off an arrogant mage. ~I'm not afraid of your power. I learn how and what I choose~ Aither prepared for the worst this figure could offer. Nothing would be as bad as what his brother had done to him. ~Exit.~ Aither began counter measures immediately. Numbers ran through his head, Aither was going over the ways to get twenty one, addition and subtraction. Along with that Aither made his hunger and thirst more attention. And finally Aither though of basic desires all of these which formed a wall to his mind one that would not be easily broken, he hoped. It was skill Aither had been practicing sense childhood.

An Intense pain came over Talon. He remained in his meditation trying to block it out, for the most part he could. Then the horrible images came. First he saw images of what happened to his parents when he was younger. The images got to him and he broke. Now the pain have over come him.

More violent images flash threw his head. One of him standing along next to the graves of his comrades then an image of a great forest being destroyed and burnt. Talon could not bare the pain.Talon gave to his body could not withstand what just happen. Talon passed out. Still breathing Talon's body laid on the ground motionless.
