Polly looked up at the apartment building, it was fairly new, but she had walked passed a few times before. They were cheep, but better than her previous apartment, anything would be better than that, the pervy landlord lived in the building opposite and wouldn't let her put curtains up in the hall, and she had paper thin walls with crack heads on one side and horribly horny 70 year olds on the other. Eugh. She would have room mates here though, that would be different, she hadn't lived with anyone since she was 16, she was used to company, but she wasn't exactly used to, or good at, sharing.

She took her first steps into the building, her stuff had already been brought through, by some chump with a van, there wasn't much of it anyway, she had lived in New York her whole life, and she didn't think there was much chance of her leaving anytime soon. She started the trip up the stairs and was pleased to find the key fitted, she was less pleased to see a man laid on the floor inside the room, Great, trust me to get the apartment with the weirdo she thought,

"Erm. Hi?"

She asked, puzzled, she looked at the man, why did he look familiar?

"My name's Polly, I'm hoping you are my room mate and you're not just some hobo who broke into my flat and is sleeping on my floor."

He had a beard, that was new, maybe he was a hobo after all, why did he look so damn familiar? She deffanitley had not slept with him, maybe he was a dealer? He didn't really look like a dealer, she racked her brains, and came to the conclusion it must have been a mutual friends party.

"I'm hungry, I'm going to dump my stuff and then go and get some lunch, fancy it?"

She may as well get to know him, it wasn't as if she had anything to loose.

"Oh my god they are so cute" Alex smiled looking at Molly's array of cat ornaments. He looked back at Fox, he felt like Fox was an easy to get on with guy. "Sam has a cat, she's called Miss Princess Kitty Fantastico".
"I'm Alex and this is Fox, you must be our roommate, hey we're going to get some lunch you wanna come?" he asked, then noticed their new neighbours moving in to the apartment across the hall.
"Omg hey we have neighbours! Do you guys wanna come with us for some coffee?" he asked.

((guys I want everyone to meet up and get acquainted, me and candy decided to scrap the camp idea they are all strangers to eachother THEY DON'T KNOW EACHOTHER

Also lets not do any major plot things at the moment until Candy is in better form, and until everyone's established in the rp, take it slow

And finally feel free to decline going to the cafe if you have diff plans for your character. Remember they won't be couped up in the apartment all day, go shopping go to work/college have dates etc whenever you feel the need to do something ))

"What! Are you kidding me?" Crystal yelled into the phone.
"Sorry Crystal but there's not much I can do. This building is being condemned and we've all got to go." The landlord said.
"Well don't you think it's a little soon? I'm at a very fragile part of my schooling, where do you suppose I go with what I've got!?"
The landlord let out a sigh, "I'll tell you what. I'm friends with the landlord just a few blocks from where you are. I'll see if I can fit you in with some roommates."
"If you can guarantee me that you can find me a cheap place to live I'll be happy." She said in a flat tone.
"I'll work on it, talk to you in a bit." The landlord hung up the phone.
Crystal paced around her apartment for hours until the landlord finally called. The phone rang and she rushed for it. "Hello?"
"He said it's alright, I have a moving van on the way, the fees are on me for such short notice."
Crystal relaxed a little more, "Alright then, thanks, I'll start packing. She hung up.

A girl walked in the new flat out of nowhere, immediately stopping to stare at Mark as he lie on the wooden floor.
"Hey, nice to meet you Polly, I'm Mark." He replied to her statement with a smile. The girl was cute, very rebellious looking, like one of his high school crushes. Her hair was dark with red tossed in a bit, and it shot up into the air like the back of a porcupine. She could rock the look though, something about it all just seemed to work. She asked him to go grab some lunch after she dropped off her stuff, this made Mark jump to his feet.
"Asking me on a date before we've gotten to really know each other? That's a bold move there." He paused for a second. "You know what Polly, I like you already."

"Haha! Don't get a head of yourself tiger, for starters, I'm not exactly into dating, and secondly, well, I don't think you're my type..."

She smilled at him, she liked a confident man, she didn't like the beard, maybe she could work around it,

"Care to try and prove me wrong?"

It was at this moment that an over excited, fabulous looking guy from accross the hall burst in and invited them to a cafe, Polly's Gaydar was going and she grinned, she was going to like it here.

"We were just about to go for some lunch ourselves, I am sure we would love to join you. I'm Polly, and this guy is Mark, I'll just stick my bags in my room and then I'll be through."

She looked at Mark and said childishly,

"Bagsy the best room!"

Before running off to check them out, she decided on what was actually the smallest room, she didn't have much stuff, and she was perfectly happy to have a double bed that took up pretty much the whole room, this place was so much classyer than her old place, and it was tidy! So far... She collapsed on the bed, see , that's where Mark should have collapsed too, never mind, it was soo comfy, she felt she could have lied there for ever, she hadn't had a bed, or bed room this nice since she lived with her Mum.

She eventually emerged from the bed and packed a bag, cigerettes, a few spare dollars (She was kind of low on cash at the moment), and her phone. She left the room and headed for the door,

"Do you know what Mark, I think I am going to like it here"

She smilled, opening the door for him to leave, she assumed he was coming.

"Pleased to meet ya'll, Polly, Mark, Molly, Fox and moi, I'm Alex" he said getting the introductions out of the way.
"Coffee house is just on the street, C'mon guys, Fox is ready to keel over" Alex laughed playfully elbowing Fox.

The coffee shop wasnt too busy, it was only a little after midday, people were at work or just finishing their lunch break. A few small groups were seated sipping coffee, the cafe owner wiped down the counter. The cafe smelled like rich coffee beans and cream, the taste of deep rich coffee laced the air. Calm smooth music played in the background though it was drowned out by the whirring noise of coffee machines and the sounds of laughter and chatter.
Alex and the group ((whoever came) sat on the cozy, albeit slightly worn, looking sofa. The waitress, a slightly stroppy looking teenager, the owners daughter Alex assumed, walked over and asked for their orders.
"Oh ... Ummm ... I'll have a skinny latte" he smiled, waiting for everyone else to place their orders.
Once the girl left to fill the orders Alex sat back on the sofa. "So what made ya'll decide to move to this part of New York?" he asked wondering where everyone had come from, he wanted to get to know his flatmates and neighbors better.

He waved to everyone, in turn as Alex introduced them.Fox laughed bashfully as Alex poked fun and elbowed him,"Hell yes I am! I'm freaking starving!!"
What an interesting array of people! He grinned to himself, something told him that this was going to turn out to be fun, very fun.

Fox melodramatically dropped to his knees when they entered the coffee shop, the array of smells smashed his senses, making him moan. "I've died and gone to heaven!!" He clung to Alexe's leg, "Now all we need is half naked girls!" He wiggled his eyebrows at the girls that came with them. He jumped up, dashing to a couch, belly diving onto it, then siting up to make room, he wiggled in his seat impatiently and the waitress slowly made her way over. "I want twelve cream cheese muffins, and cappuccino, double shot, please!" He looked at every one else, "What you guys want?" Once he heard Alex order he shook his head, "Come on, dude! You've got to bulk up! What do ya say?" He grinned friendlyish (>.> )

Alex was a little suprised at Fox, he seemed more flamboyant than Alex had first thought, dont tell me I'm rooming with someone on the same team ... this will be almost awkward ... then Fox mentioned half naked girls. "Wishful thinking Fox, maybe next time" Alex said pulling up the boy before Fox sped off and flopped onto the sofa.
Alex's eyes widened at Fox's order ... was he kidding? "Are you seriously gonna eat all that Fox?" Alex asked incredulously.
"Come on, dude! You've got to bulk up! What do ya say?" He grinned friendlyish
Alex smiled and laughed, Fox was very sweet indeed, "I couldnt, if I came back ten pounds heavier Sam would die of a heart attack and never let me go to New York again" Alex nearly choked laughing. "I guess Im sorta used to not eating much, I work a load with projects and stuff" he shrugged.

Fox beamed brightly, "Hell yes I'm going to eat all of it!" He patted his belly, "I'm a growing boy!" I wiggled his eyebrows at the girls suggestively.
Going back to Alexs earlier question about why they were in the Big Apple....why was it called that anyway? He mentally shrugged.
"I had a near death experience." He said lowly, leaning forward morbidly.He took a dramatic pause. "Clingy parents." He said melodramatically.
He grinned, sitting up, "What about you, dude? Didn't you say you worked with 'projects' and stuff? Are you like a drug dealer?"
