    So if you didn't want your bone to break in the above situation, what could you do?

    Bob immediatly realized the attempt at an arm gaurd, and felt the legs cross about his chest. Lifting his leg upward in a kick motion, He used the flailing limb to knock the heartless upside his noggin. Said kick if impacting, Would daze the form of Anti-Sora long enough for Bobby to rip his arm from the creatures grasp, And roll from the animal's range.

    Here's the trick, If Anti-Sora dodges the foot, Then the arm is considered broken.

    Okay, thanks. I think I'm good with questions for now, unless there's anything else you think is important.

    Wouldn't the "if you don't do anything, you get effect A but if you dodge, you get effect B" be a form of god modding? In that situation the opponent doesn't have freedom to do anything defensive. It's impossible to block from that position and dodge would be the only viable option.

    I personally avoid these sort of actions because saying "damned if you don't, damned if you do" sounds like god modding to me. o.o;;;;

    For me, whatever damage that's suffered by the character is decided by the controlling player. Being fair is very important in this, that's why my duels so far in another forum have judges to regulate the outcome, because points will be scored on sportsmanship as well. A good duelist knows how to defend, take a beating and attempt a harder counter while still keeping it open ended and non invasive nor god modding.

    The object of forum based fighting is logic, Thus, The only way to win is put your oppenent in a position they "Could" have gotten themselves out of if they had prepared. You need to Out-smart, Out-flank, And Out-play your enemy in ever aspect. So at some point things will border god modding, But if you think hard enough, maybe dislocate an arm of just cut it off you han get away with your life. Of course, If your creative enough, You can just think of a way to twist out of the lock.

    like, would it be fair if you, per se, could control water, and you used the water in peoples bloodstreams to control them, and when you were tired of them you could suffocate them by not letting blood flow, bleed to death by freezing the ice crystals int jagged shards, and unfreezing, or by boiling the blood and making them explod. would that be considered god-modding if it is in the extent of your power?

    Technically, it wouldn't work that way, blood having different density and molecular makeups and all. And it would be a duel breaker for such an autokill ability. I seriously wouldn't be dueling with the person who pulls that off on me again though. o.o;;;;

    I guess it would be kind of like Magneto pulling all the iron out of the guy's veins in X-men. But not really a fair way to pull a fight - part of what makes it fun is that it's an even battle you need to work to win.

    that's true, and i did do that in another arena battle, and they got mad. but still, you need to think that at least 70% of any living animal is water, and that you could control that. it is kind of a god mod, but is it a legal god mod?

    I would say any power that the opponent has no ability to counter is a god mode. So if they could throw up a magic shield and stop the water crystallizing, then it would be fine. But if it's an autokill, then it's godmoding.
