How to rate a character with Stem:
First, determine whether the character is realistic or unrealistic. A character is considered realistic if their physical attributes (speed, reflexes, strength, durability, etc) are all within human bounds. Any superhuman attribute(s) among the above makes the character unrealistic.
Then, check each character attribute listed in its profile against the Tier descriptions from lowest to highest. The highest tier the attribute applies to is the attribute's actual tier. The highest rated attribute becomes your character's tier. (Ex: if you had three abilities, one T2, one T3, and one T1, your character is T3). If no tiers apply, you either have hand to hand combat or something that is worse than that, and the ability gets no rating.
Tier One:
Any attribute(s) which trump hand to hand combat as the most effective method of fighting.
Tier Two:
Any attribute(s) that eliminate the need to use melee combat.
Tier Three:
Any attribute(s) that render the enviornment inconsequential to the character.
Tier Four:
Any attribute(s) that allow the character to only rely on altering the reality they exist within.
Combine your two results to get your full Stem classification. Shorthand notation for classifications include just the number of your tier and a "R" for realistic or a "U" for unrealistic (eg: 3U, 1R, etc).
