Today had seemed like an ordinary day for Alanna Vey. The streets were busy with people, so like normal she walked in the alleyways and shadows. Her footsteps were almost as quiet as a field mouse. Basically her normal day. The only thing that was different was that instead of heading out to look for a job, she was going to her first day of work at Jasper Holiday's home. The first day was orientation or at least that is what he told her when they had bumped into each other a few weeks ago.
As the girl walked up the steps of the manor, she gaped in surprise. It was so beautiful. As she walked in she saw many other maids and butler's bustling about the place. She looked at them all in astonishment. Didn't he have enough maids and butlers? Why would he need more? She then found a sign that pointed at where she should go. She walked silently and carefully on the floors, so she wouldn't make a mess and cause the other workers more work. After all she will be one of them.
After following the signs, Alanna found herself in a room with many chairs. Cautiously she moved herself into a chair in the back. She waited patiently for the head maid to come in and give her talk about what they were supposed to do in a house full of butlers and maids that were already doing a wonderful job.
