You Boys Need A Lift? ((May and Mucha))

Judy leaned casually against the town car, an elegant Lincoln painted a discreet, pearl gray. She was enjoying her morning cigarette, eying the building from whence her charges would come. The Lullis were very regular, very faithful clients of the company, though she had yet to drive any of them anywhere. But now, she had two of them, and the receptionist and sighed like a girl at the mention of them. Judy was unsure what to make of it all, and thought that it was plainly silly for Darren the Receptionist (big and black and bald, with hands that could palm basketballs, easy) to be sighing over anyone. But he had, and just told her to wait until she saw them before she went and reached a judgment.

So now, she was waiting. It was still slightly dewy and cool, but the summer air was warming with each passing second, as the sun climbed higher and higher in the sky. Soon it would be too hot for her dress slacks and blazer. She was used to humidity, of course, and far more humid and hot than this, but she wasn't used to having to wear the heavy dress slacks and heels (ugh) in it. Linen slacks were too prone to wrinkle, and thus frowned upon at the company. But, thankfully, the car was air conditioned. Now, if only her twins would show up. She was itching for a drive. Slowly, she pulled a last drag from her smoke and dropped it, grinding it under the toe of her kitten-heeled pump. One tanned hand pushed the sleeve of her opposite arm up. Blue eyes appeared over the rims of vintage pale pink-rimmed catseye sunglasses, and she glanced at the face of her sturdy, silly little Hello Kitty watch. They were ten minutes late. Or she was ten minutes early. Either way, someone was ten minutes off. But, even as she grimaced in impatience, she caught movement. Standing up straighter, she tugged her blazer straight and then took her driver's hat off, pushing her shaggy blonde bangs back. Most of it was in a thick, loose braid, but she kept putting off her visit to the barber's, and hung in her eyes if she let it. For now, though, she shrugged, settled the cap back on, and pushed the glasses up her freckled nose. If they were them, then she would know in a moment.

Their father had set them up in a nice pent house at the top of a very nice apartment building. They didn't need a place quite so flashy as they had but who were they to tell their father no? That was right, his sons, but they respected the man too much to fight him over housing arrangements and so just stayed their place. It impressed the ladies regardless and that was always very helpful. For one of them at least, the other had his own charms to get them to come back for drinks and maybe the night.

They were running late, and it was Remus' fault. He'd been caught up in the book he was reading and hadn't noted the time. And of course Achilles was of no help there as he'd been to busy chatting to some girl from the club the night before on the phone. There was nothing there between them, of course, but she had called and he wasn't just going to hang up on her rudely. So once Remus had seen the time he hurried his twin off the phone and out the door, the both of them slipping into matching black jackets over their not-fully-done-up dark grey button up shirts. The pair pulling out nice dark sunglasses and sliding them up their prominent noses as they made it out of the apartment building and into the sun light of the afternoon.

Their eyes scanned around for a moment before seeing Judy waiting with their car, the pair of them, in prefect stride, made their way over to her, smiles coming up on one of their faces and less of a scowl and more a look on the other. "You are ride?" one of them asked, the smiling one, and obviously the more friendly one. He didn't bother to introduce himself. If she was their ride, she'd know it.

"I am indeed," she replied, offering a hand to shake. She had a faint accent, Asian to the untrained ear, Vietnamese to the trained ear. Judy looked them over, bright blue eyes peering over the tops of her glasses, a quick glance for each one, and grinned. Darren was right. These boys were damn cute. He had every right to sigh. If she cold have sighed without looking silly and unprofessional, she would have. But, it wasn't the time or place, so she just introduced herself instead. "I'm Judy, Mister Lulli and Lulli. Your driver for the day."

She pushed her cab up, and then back down on her head, and turned to open the door for them.

The both of them couldn't help but chuckle some at the way she addressed the both of them. It was always both something of amusement and annoyance to be addressed like that by their surnames. Especially when people so often put the wrong kind of inflection on it. But she didn't do too bad really. It was more of the idea that they were such a unit that there was unique to either of them. Which was something of a problem to them even though they did dress the same and often acted the same.

One of the boys just waved her off when she went to open the door for them, the other one speaking. "No need to darling," he said in a deep voice, just the same as his twin's. "We're big boys, we know how to open car doors on our own."

"Besides, no need to make you work for us more then you have to," the other went on, opening the door for his twin and letting him climb in first, pushing down his sun glasses to give her a wink with his warm brown eyes.

Judy wobbled a little on her heels when they beat her to opening the car doors for themselves. She was a little surprised that they'd do it on their own. Most of the people she drove would stand there for days, if no one opened the doors for them. So, there was pleasure in the surprise, but still surprise. And, shallowly enough, Judy had supposed that they'd be like the rest, with their penthouse apartment and fancy little cell phones. But...they seemed generally decent, and she smiled at them. They were cute too. Now she saw what Darren was sighing about.

"Oh...well, alright, I guess," she sighed, pushing her hands in her pockets as she grinned up at one of them. She wasn't exactly sure which one, as they had only been refereed to as Lulli and Lulli on her papers this morning. Her eyes caught the rim of his glasses, though, and her grin grew a touch wider, and she let her own glasses slip down on her nose so she could peer over them. "Oh, wow. Nice glasses. Gucci?"

He watched her wobble some, smiling a bit, his one hand going out to catch her in case she unstabled too much and was in danger of actually falling over. But she looked fine enough and he dropped his hand back down to his side. "Chhaaaa," he said with a very fake air of someone who was made of money. The smile on his face was very contradictory to the way he'd sounded and he gave her another little wink before slipping into the car after his twin.

"Come now, chop chop," he called in that same joking tone as he stuck his head out the door and grabbed at it with his long arm to close it on himself as well. They really were used to doing things on their own and felt rather strange with people doing to much for them. Especially silly little things like opening and closing car doors for them when they normally drove themselves around on their own so they had to do it then.

Her grin quirked a little higher, and it made her nose wrinkle just a little bit. He was funny, this Lulli boy. Now if only she could remember which one it was...well, she would figure it out eventually, she supposed, and after they were settled in the car, she got in herself.

She sighed happily; being in a car was her domain, where she was at her best and most at-ease. In typical luxury town car fasion, there was a tinted window installed between the passengers and the driver, for privacy purposes. This way, if a pair of amorous, slightly drunk people wanted to fool around on the way home from the wedding, she didn't have to deal with it. Also typical to the town cars of her company, there was a high-end GPS system installed in the dash board. It was off; just a little dark square staring at her. Judy never used the GPS; she knew the streets much to well for that.

Once the door was closed, Judy turned and looked over the back of the seat, at her new charges. "So. Where to first, sirs?"

The two looked at each other, conversing in a quick Italian between themselves as one of them made sure the window was as far down as it could go. They weren't going to be doing anything back there that they didn't want her to see. And anything they didn't want her to know wouldn't be spoke in English so there was no reason to have it up. There was a bit of a glare that occurred from the slightly more serious brother who'd pilled into the car first before the second relented to whatever he'd said and leaned forward.

"Remus insists we go somewhere for breakfast, preferably somewhere with good coffee," he said as he leaned against the back of her seat, peering around it some at her with a wide smile on his face. It seemed he almost always had a smile on his face.

"It doesn't have to be anywhere fancy, we're fine with fast food, really," the one refereed to as Remus said from his lounged position in the back seat.

The Italian was nice. It was like there was a forgien movie going on in her back seat. And they were friendly, too. Not suspicious; not that they had to be. Judy didn't speak Italian, and couldn't say anything beyond 'pasta'. Still, she was attentive, and soon enough they were speaking to her in English again. She pondered the request, trying to decide were she should take them. There were a few greasy spoons and holes in the wall that served pretty good coffee, but they would be over crowded and the waitresses were pushy. The woman turned and squinted out the windshield, pulling her sunglasses down to see better, to connect where they were with where they could go.

"That is doable," Judy announced a comment later, and grinned sunnily at the both of them. One finger pushed the glasses up her nose, and she turned in the seat, starting the car and then buckling her seat belt. They were mandatory for drivers, though they were more or less optional for the passengers, the lap belts that wouldn't restrict their movement even if they did wear them. "There's a place I know with some of the best coffee in the city."

The twins both nodded and settled back into their seats without bothering to buckle up. They sat in silence, watching the buildings pass them by. The one who'd been doing most of the talking was looking like he wanted to start blathering away about something...anything really. He looked to his twin, who, without looking at him, held up a hand to stop him from talking. The former made a huffing noise before he looked away and back out the window again.

Though the silence couldn't last forever. Not with Achilles present. He had to talk or he was going to pop. So since his twin didn't care to talk to him, he leaned forward yet again to talk to their diver. "You said your name was Judy, right?" he asked as he leaned against the back of her seat like he'd done before. He didn't mind being close it seemed. Didn't mind that at all.
