Through Time and Space {Kirah & May} IC

The Doctor leaned against the light pole, waiting. He played with his sonic screwdriver. The green light was off. He tapped it against the palm of his hand, it beeped and flashed once.
"Near." He whispered, "but not close enough." He waited. The water was rushing under the bridge, but he paid it no heed as he tapped the sonic screwdriver again and again. It remained silent for several taps. Finally it beeped and the light flashed on. He dove into the river.

Landing in a perfect roll and ending up on his feet, he stood on the roof of a barge. A party was occupying the thoughts of the members of the barge. No one noticed the Doctor slipping into the crowd and blending in as if he belonged.

Following intuition and the sonic screwdrivers to the bow of the ship. There he looks over the edge of the barge and glances at the sides, he seems to not find what he is looking for.

Trixi was doing some relaxing. Or as much relaxing as one could do at a party with a bunch of her mates. But she was having a good time regardless and that was what counted. She'd been so over worked with her interning and all that nonsense that went along with it. And it was all finally over and her friend's had forced her out to this party for a few drinks. The only problem with this party was she couldn't leave when ever she wanted to. She was there for whole time.

And that was starting to wear on her. She wandered off from the group, slipping through the small openings between people and trying so hard not to spill her pint as she went. She was going to need that to fully relax once she got away from everyone else that was there. Though there was very little places for her to go to be totally alone, she'd settle for mostly alone that moment. Most of the party was in the aft of the ship where there was more space for the dance floor and the DJ with his pumping music, so she made her way up towards the bow of the ship where most of the people were talking instead of dancing.

Trixi stood along the railings, pulling her long hair which she'd stupidly worn down that night, over her shoulders, and sipped at her drink, taking in all the people around her. She curiously watched a man at the front, not more then a few feet away from her, looking around for something or someone. He looked almost out of place, or at least not like she'd seen him around there earlier. She was going to watch him a bit more and then offer him some help finding what he was looking for. He must be awfully tossed if he was looking for something in the water like he was doing.

The Doctor pulled out his sonic screwdriver again, glanced at it, held it over the edge, it buzzed and flashed. He glanced over the edge of the barge again, he looks throughly perplexed. Finally after a couple repeats of this he glances around the few people gathered around. He points the sonic screwdriver at them, it refuses to flash and buzz for him. He pauses on Trixi as the screwdriver flashes and buzzes.

"Ah ha!" He leaps from his spot to her side and spins her around pulling from her hair a small bug like object which he quickly shoves into a clear glass vial. He holds it up into the air and shines the screwdriver at it. After a few clicks of buttons the screwdriver silences. "Better." The Doctor grins brightly at Trixie.

Trixi raised a thin eyebrow up at the strange man, sipping more liberal from her pint as she watched him point some buzzing thing around. He was very strange. And then he started pointing it at her and getting a look on his face that she wasn't sure she liked. No, strange men pointing strange things at you when you have no where to escape too is not something that is good thing at all

"What the..." she started when he came at her, spinning her around and almost making her drop the glass in her hand to the wooden deck of the ship. She manged to just hold onto her drink, looking over her shoulders at the mad man who was pulling things out of her hair and putting them into vials. "Who the bloody hell are you and what is that...thing?" She was looking at his hands as she spoke so it was rather hard to tell if she was looking at the bug or the sonic screwdriver.

"I'm the Doctor, and this." He held up the vial giving it a tiny shake, "is a very unfortunately sized alien. It likes burrowing into people's minds and taking over them. This," he holds up the sonic screwdriver, "is my sonic screwdriver." He pockets both items, giving the small bug creature a glance over before doing so.

"And you would be?" The Doctor leans against the railing with a grin.

"Bellatrix...Trixi..." she said without knowing why she was still speaking to this raving mad man. Because he had to be insane. No one talked about aliens and...sonic screwdrivers? Really? Her eyes were still riveted on the small little bug in the vial, shivering as she thought about the idea of that little thing burrow into her head and making her do things. Not of course that that was true anyways, right? It was just a bug.

"The doctor?" Trixi finally asked with a little head tilt, looking up at at the man before her with both eyebrows drawn in quite a bit. "Like you don't have any other name or anything like that? Just 'The doctor', no one else is a doctor but you?" She took the final gulps of her pint, not too worried about dropping the empty glass now that she was done with it's contents.

"Just the Doctor." He nods. "There are other doctors, of different things...I'm a doctor of everything." He waves his hand indicating not just the barge but the sky as well. He flicks out the screwdriver again glances at it and smiles at her.

"Would you like to go for a walk?" He offers his arm.

Trixi nodded her head, not thinking anymore obviously, and stepped a little closer to the strange man, taking his arm in hers. "So a doctor of everything? Is that like being a Jack-of-all-trades? Because that would make you a master of none." She stuck her tongue out playfully at him. She was obviously not totally sober, though she was far from being so drunk she couldn't walk on her own. "Where are we going anyways?"

"You could call it a Jack-of-all-trades, but that wouldn't be the best description of me. Wherever you want to go." He again waves his hand out to the stars. He holds her up with his other arm. A deep sense of being alone fills the Doctor, he pushes it back and smiles at Trixie.

The barge heads near another bridge. "I believe this is our stop, if you want to get off that is. Though maybe this isn't the choice for non-sobriety." He glances at her knowing that she is drunk.

She looked at him very confused, blinking a bit. He was man who was so very open in one moment and then so very vague in the next moment. It was hard to keep track of when hew was going to be one or the other as they kept switching back and forth without any kind of rhyme to them at all. She followed his gesture up to the stars and then looked back to him again. Maybe aliens wasn't such a crazy thing for him as it was for her.

And she did want to get off the barge, she wanted to get away from the party. She'd text her friend about it later. "I'm not that drunk," she said firmly, pouting a bit at his implication that she wasn't in the right state of mind to make decisions. "Just two beers, that's hardly anything really." She shook her head a bit, her hair shifting along her back. "We're getting off?"
