Through Time and Space {Kirah & May} IC

[Kirah]

The Doctor looks her up and down. He thinks for a moment, is she the right one? She seems a bit disbelieving, many were that way to begin with though.

"Only if you want." The doctor reached up with his free hand and climbed up onto the roof of the barge, and offered his hand to help Trixie up. "Wherever you want to go, whenever you want to go. Pick a time and place, we'll go see it"

Trixi chewed at her bottom lip for just a moment as he offered his hand down to her. He'd said whenever...and even if he was joking and pulling her leg, off the barge sounded like a great idea just then. So she took his hand and climbed her way up to the top of the barge with him, smiling and almost starting to bounce with excitement. It was a silly notion to think that this man could travel in time, that was just...silly. But it sounded like an idea she couldn't pass up either. Because on the off chance that he was indeed able to travel in time and he was offering to take her along, she'd be a fool to waste that and let it slip her by.

"So where ever and when ever I want?" she asked him as she stood looking up into his face him with a growing smile. "So If I said I wanted to go to ancient Egypt and meet King Tut, we could go?"

[Kirah]

The Doctor smiled "Sounds like fun. I've never met him before. It's a good thing this is a slow moving barge, makes this easier."

He pulled her close and grabbed the bridge as they passed it, pulling the two of them up onto it. The Doctor glanced down the road and then started walking toward one end of the street. He pulled out a key and unlocked a blue police box, that Trixie hadn't noticed previously. The Doctor opened the door to reveal the interior of the TARDIS.

"Welcome to the TARDIS." The Doctor spun around and skipped up the steps to the controls. "TARDIS stands for Time And Relative Dimensions In Space."

The young woman laughed a bit at his reaction and followed him a little clumsily up to the road and then along it towards that thing she'd seen out of the corner of her eye but thought nothing of it at all. But then there it was right in front of her and The Doctor was going in. She looked into it as he stepped in, wondering why it looked so strange inside.

Then she walked in herself and stood just inside the door looking around her with wide eyes, her mouth almost hanging open a bit. She didn't hear The Doctor or anything that he was saying just then. She'd seen how big it was from the outside, but the inside...it shouldn't be this big. It was impossible for there to be this much space inside. "How..." she started but she couldn't form anymore words at all. Just stood there and looked rather like the drunk fool she had insisted she wasn't. And she wasn't so drunk to not get this, but it was just...so shocking.

[Kirah]

The Doctor grinned widely and somewhat goofy. It never got old to see people's reactions to the TARDIS. He let her take it in for a moment and then started pulling levers and pushing buttons and checking screens and running around the control base. Drunkenness was nothing to stop some fun in Egypt.

The classic sound of the brakes grinding filled the room that was too large for it's own good. The Doctor flipped a screen to check something "King Tut right?" He pressed a few buttons, and the sound starts to quite.

"Outside the doors right now is a desert and the Nile river. You'll see the world as it was over 3000 years ago. Are you ready for this?"

[May]

Finally her eyes went down to the Doctor, running around and flipping levers and all that nonsense that he was doing. She hurried her way over to where he was at, getting tossed back thankfully onto a bench seat. She was wide eyed still when the TARDIS came to a stop but she was smiling, something like childlike excitement all over her face. She didn't know what this machine was, or what it was really doing, but it was still so very exciting regardless of all that.

Trixi looked at The Doctor, looked at the door and then back to the man in front of her. Standing slowly, she looked down at the jeans and blouse she was wearing and then back up. "Don't you think we're a little over dressed for Egypt 3000 years ago?" she asked, as if she'd stopped questioning the fact that they might indeed be in Egypt just then and was more worried about standing out there. She was going to stand out anyways, so pale and with such red hair, but at least she could not be dressed like she stood out too much.

[Kirah]

"Right." The Doctor spun around in a quick circle, stopped facing Trixie and waved her to follow him. He hurried off of the main room and led her to a giant walk in closet with clothing from every possible time and place.

The Doctor dug through a trunk for a few minutes and then stood up and held up

"What do you think?"

[May]

She stood looking around her wide eyed again at another impossibly large room inside the very small call box. And all those clothes to choose from. They would never have worry about what time they ended up in because there were so many lovely things to choose from. Trixi turned when the Doctor spoke to her an she smiled brightly at what he was holding up. "Not the best, but it'll do for now." She was too eager to be going out now to worry that much about how close to what they should be wearing it might be. She'd stand out less that way for sure.

[Kirah]

The Doctor nodded and handed it over to her, paused for a second and then dove back into the trunk pulling out another item. It was a hair covering. "So your red hair doesn't stand out." He handed her several assorted colors to chose from, then dove into another trunk and pulled out an outfit for himself.


After holding it up, he walked behind a clothes line full of clothes and changed.

She took the dress from him and slipped behind some other clothes as well, stripping out of her blouse and jeans and pulling the dress over her head. She took a little look around on the floor and found a pair of sandals that looked rather close to her size, tying them around her feet quick enough before wrapping her hair up and waiting for the Doctor to be done to join her in going out.
