The Doctor again offered his arm, leading the two of them out of the room and back into the main area. He paused in front of the door, let go of her arm and stood in front of her.
"Once you pass through these doors there is no going back, you'll be in ancient Egypt with all it's ancientness, and Egyptness. Are you ready for this?" He gave her his now familiar goofy grin as he waited for her affirmative.

She smiled brightly up at him, laughing a bit at his descriptive words with just adding 'ness' to the end of words where they didn't belong. "So we'll be stuck in Egypt forever or can we come back when we're done?" she asked with a little laugh, not believing him that they'd be stuck there forever. She couldn't, not with that smile on his face like he had just then.
Though there was something about him that made her feel alright if she was going to be stuck in ancient Egypt with him forever. That was probably something she could live with since he'd manged to pull her away from her life without any questions at all.

"Whenever you want. Just say the word and we'll make it like a drum and beat it." His grin grew at the bad pun. "I think I like puns." He nodded, turned to the doors, glanced over his shoulder. "Here we are. Egypt." He pulled the doors open and in front of them was Egypt in the height of it's glory under the young King Tut.
The sun beat down on the land and the slaves. It was hot. It was sunny and it was ancient Egypt.

Trixi laughed and rolled her eyes at his awful joke. She followed him to the door, looking out into the sand and the hot sun. They were really there, really in Egypt. "Wow..." she said softly, breathlessly. This was by far the most exciting thing ever to happen to her and she was so very excited about everything in front of.
She slipped out past him into the heat of the desert, not waiting for him at all because she just couldn't hold it in anymore. She had to see everything, touch everything, taste everything...just experience everything there was to experience.

The Doctor laughed as Trixi pushed passed him. He followed her outside of the TARDIS, and locked it up behind him slipping on the chain. He shook his head still annoyed at it not having proper cloaking.
"Welcome to ancient Egypt. What do you want to do first?" He was practically skipping. The Doctor was happy to have someone else with him. It always made him feel more alive, more human. Even though he wasn't really human. Keeping a companion kept him sane. He wasn't sure yet if Trixie would stay, but he was glad that she was so excited about being here.

"Everything," she said softly, reaching for his hand without thinking and pulling him along into the city proper, looking around at the mix of dark skinned and not so dark skinned people, eyes wide and taking everything in. She started to go one way before she was distracted by something else and started to change directions to go for that one instead. There was no method to this madness. Just a little girl in one of her life long dreams.

The Doctor grinned broadly as Trixie dragged him around the city. She looked so happy. The Doctor was so happy to know that he had brought her that joy.
"Much better than any party on a barge." He grinned and pulled her to a stop in front of a linen stand and held up a particularly pretty length of linen. "I think it matches your eyes."
There was a noise similar to fan fair coming from down the street. Everyone moved out of the center of the street as a parade of people, obviously from the Pharaoh's.

"By far," she laughed, smiling at him and blushing a bit, which wasn't as obvious since her cheeks were already flush from the heat of the desert and the market. There were just so many people packed into such a small space. But it was wonderful and she was happy. And glad that she was going mostly unnoticed with her pale, freckled skin.
"You looking at my eyes so much to notice that?" she asked with a teasing laugh and smile, though she didn't look at him long as her attention was drawn away from the Doctor and over towards where the fan fair was coming from. "Do you think it's him?" she asked excitedly as she stepped closer to the Doctor, reaching for his hand again to hold to keep her from racing off where she shouldn't.

"Can't help it." He grins, looking over at the parade.
"I think that it may be." He looks at the parade. It is a large group of people marching. There are several litters with people sitting in them. In the forefront of the these is a young boy. In the litter behind him is a woman. "Hmm I wonder who that woman is." The Doctor looks at her curiously.
