It's sad that you have to change yourself externally in order to love yourself.

Darling, it's cliche, and most people usually never care or don't see it, but it truly is what's on the inside that counts. You shouldn't have to externally alter yourself to find happiness. It's fine to do that to seek a change, but never for happiness or for the sake of loving yourself.

It wasn't for happiness, it was more I didn't want to look like myself anymore, I hated myself more or less but I know very well that personality is what matters most. I have not changed my personality, I just wanted to look how I wanted to look and after what I've been through for nearly three years I think I deserved to finally be able to be free to choose how and what I could do with myself without someone dictating to me what I could and couldn't do but I do admit that it is sad that I only love myself now I've altered my body with piercings. That saddens me but I am finally, for once, proud of how I look. <3
