Anyone interested in a fantasy RP?
The story takes place in the world of Erredyl, where a secret sect of powerful people have caused a rebellion in order to become the supreme rulers and open a rift to the void (a state of dark magic) in order to turn the entire world to another dominion of the void. After a great battle, the kingdom falls and they become the new leaders.
However, this kingdom had built an order of very powerful people and beings over the ages that were utilizing very sophisticated and powerful physical and magical powers to protect the kingdom. These people were called the champions of Erredyl who were 981 before the war. After the war, few survived, all belonging to the 50 strongest, also called "The Fifty". They are all extremely powerful and gifted, but still very far from a God. They are distinguished by 2 properties:
1) Immortality: When a champion enters the fifty, he passes from a procedure that is stopping aging. The result? Ancient beings with over 300 years or history under the command of the king.
2) The "Essence". Every champion in the 50, along with the lack of aging, was granted an "essence", which was the core of that being. For example, a champion in this group could have as essence the element of Fire, Water, or even living beings, like butterflies. Champions can completely turn themselves to essence at will, or right before they die (and a hit in the essence kills them). They can also turn a part of their body, if that's useful to them.
Your character is one of those fifty champions. You have to choose if you want to unite with the rest of the surviving champions and The Legion, the last resistance in the world, ally with your former enemies, and become another being of the Void or choose to abstain from this upcoming war and work for your own interests.

Note: The fact that these champions have these 2 properties, doesn't mean they are gods. They still have weaknesses along with their abilities. You can add any class/race you want, as long as its not godmodded. Detailed history will be added if there will be interest. The term powerful, mostly means that this something that is powerful is highly connected with magic. Magic plays a significant role in this world, so don't forget to add some magical properties to your character, even if they have physical powers.

I think I might be interested. Is this a free-for-all battle kind of thing?
I might be interested. I'll post a character sheet, but will wait otherwise until others show interest. Give me half-an-hour for the sheet.

Name: Pompey Swift
Race: Half-Elf
Class: Artificer
Personality: Pompey has an outwardly cheerful attitude, although he also gives off the impression of being lethargic and inattentive. His noticeable interests include: reading, as he will willingly spend hours upon hours poring over books in the library; thinking, as he can sit in one spot for a quarter of a day accompanied only by his own thoughts; and music, as he usually carries around some sort of stringed instrument to play when everything else gets boring. However, his true inward personality is hard to discern through this outward facade. His attitude is extremely focused, usually picking one task and following it through to the end. While inattentive to his surroundings when focused, Pompey is a masterful planner and thinker, and is rarely caught off-guard. His outward cheeriness belies his cold, calculating mind. He is not evil, per se, but he gives no regard to anyone but himself. His appearance of being lethargic is mostly an inaccurate representation, as Pompey is capable of great bursts of activity.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral, in D&D terms. In Magic terms, he would be best represented as Blue/Green. He doesn't care for anything but his own goals, but he will not willingly harm another individual unless given a sufficiently good reason. Ironically, he hates people with wantonly destructive natures, as he sees them to be anathema to his work. His interests are mostly invested in exploring the natural world as a scientist and researcher, and then creating new technomagical instruments.
Brief History: N/A*
Abilities: Extremely high intelligence. His thinking and planning abilities, when focused, are virtually unmatched. His knowledge of the natural, arcane, and scientific worlds is also impressive, on par with the scholars of the nation. He has a mind for understanding complex systems and processes. He is also a highly capable inventor, flawlessly blending magic and technology into items more powerful than the sum of their parts. As a last resort, he is a decent druidic spellcaster (not quite on par with the other Champions of Erredyl, but sufficient enough to allow him to defeat the average battlemage). His spellcasting is mostly focused on weather manipulation.
Weaknesses: While undoubtedly a powerful individual, Pompey has several glaring weaknesses--the first of which is that he has no immediate defensive options other than the items he has on him. Weather manipulation on average takes far too long to dispatch a skilled assassin, forcing him to rely on his offensive inventions to deal with such threats, such as his lightning rods and his amulet of fireball. Additionally, Pompey is extremely susceptible to powerful wizard magic--his inventions have inadvertently turned him into an enormous arcane magic attractor; as a result, should he fail to shield any magical attack, he will probably die unless saved by a third-party. Naturally, Pompey is also fairly weak at nonmagical combat.
Essence: Snow. Pompey has no idea why he's associated with snow, and why it's his essence. This fact is, ironically, one of the driving forces in his life--pushing him to discover the origins of his essence.
*I don't want to quite write my history yet--not before others do, because I'd like to tie mine in with someone else's (with permission, of course).
Name: Shade.
Race: Wraith/Human.
Class: The Spirit Reaper.
Personality: Detached, cold, she has an air of unwitting innocence about her, and may be percieved as slow since she likes to think things through before acting.
Alignment: Yet to choose.
Brief history: A thief in the past she became one of the fifty through her power and ability which seems to be more understood each year. She was a legend in the ring and in battle, her opponents seldom surviving. Though most famous is her attachment from the realms, she doesn't seem to experience pain, sorrow or guilt for her actions.
Abilities: Shadow/Soul manipulation.
Weaknesses: Life/Light manipulations. Kittens (not a power/physical weakness but she is insanely soft on kittens).
Essence: Shadow.
Other information: Her weapon is a scythe, her most used soul manipulation is song de morte, she can be won over to either side but that will require work/persuasion.
(I've left it short so it can be filled out in rp and to tie in with other peoples.

I will express my interest in this, I believe.
Name: Claudiu Rosewood (his "work name" is Black Rose)
Race: Vryloka ("living vampire")
Class: Thief
Personality: Claudiu lives a double-life, and he's quite skilled at keeping the two separate from each other. While he is himself, he is a charismatic nobleman who seems to have the best interests of the common people in his heart. He donates a great deal of money to good causes, doing everything he can to help underprivileged individuals achieve their potential and make the best of their lives. He's a social butterfly and an easy conversationalist, equally willing to talk to a king or a peasant.
On the flip-side, Black Rose is a thief who wanders the streets by night. He steals from other nobles, usually when they are corrupt in some manner. He leaves a black rose as a calling card, and therefore quite a few nobles want to see him in chains. Though nobles are his primary targets, he is known to steal from other persons of wealth. He knows how to pick his targets, and thus far he's only been glimpsed a few times by his victims. On occasion he'll allow himself to be seen doing things that are not so illegal and are even good deeds. Just to keep the general public a bit confused about him and to let his infamy take a hit. For his own safety.
As Black Rose, he's similar in personality to Claudiu, though he does a fair share most fast-talking and lying. He's quite the flirt with anyone he thinks will fall for it, and even some who will not. Just for the amusement of it, in those latter cases. He likes to have a good time.
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Brief history: His family has been of noble blood for quite a long time. Being "living vampires," they are all quite old, though Claudiu is the only one in his immediate family who is one of the Champions. He started the Black Rose thing as a joke, but it turned into a little more than that when he actually started to steal from people. It was good training for him, though, and he used it to develop a good assortment of skills and make himself useful to the Champions. Over time he became one of the Fifty, and he has been using his double-life to help the Champions and their causes in any way he can ever since.
Abilities: Claudiu is able to climb walls with the ease of a spider, seeming to quite literally stick to them. (Think Spiderman, more or less.) And for limited portions of time, he can see the heat that living persons give off. Almost like infrared vision. It works through walls, but with limited clarity and only to a distance of about twenty feet. It also takes more concentration to work through walls.
Weaknesses: Claudiu is limited by maintaining his image as a highly charitable nobleman. He will not openly act in a way that would jeopardize his image and reputation. Black Rose is far less limited, but as an infamous criminal, there are places he avoids so that he will not be captured (not that he thinks he can be captured). Arrogance is another weakness of Black Rose, and in both guises, his physical strength is a major limitation. He is highly dexterous and can give out a flurry of deadly attacks with his choice weapon (a rapier), but he cannot take many hits in return before he's down and out. In a contest of pure strength, he would almost certainly lose.
Essence: Air
Other information: n/a
Hope this is okay. I borrowed the Vryloka race from Dungeons and Dragons. It's a neat race, flavor-wise.
