I'll be posting when I'm able to. I think we're all just waitingo n this time skip and how we're going to work things out like Thaler's conversation with Jaelnec and any other tidbits that need to be done before the skips implimented.

I said I would be slightly irregular from the beginning of this week onward, and absent entirely between 11th and 18th of May. As far as I know, Jack is waiting for me, the rest are waiting for Jack or for the group to progress.

    - So, in essence we're all waiting for me, and no one else. I *am* posting soon, however.

Hmm okay... Will be waiting on you then Shienvien. As for the timeskip... I think it'd be half a day up to two days? Basically long enough such that they're in the middle of the road to the Ferry Terminal that'd take them to Zerul. Mainly because of me haha, since I asked to introduce my character enroute.

    1) How's the clothing style like in The Prophecy? I noticed its a very broad question but yeah... Maybe there should be an entire section on clothing?

    2) Say are high heel shoes used? It's not really invented even remotely close to our world's medieval period...

    3) How revealing could women get in Rodoria without getting lynched? I imagine since there's gender equality for some reason, this'd be different from our world?

    4) Also, what's been going on lately? It seems that things are a bit slow... Admittedly I slowed down as well. I guess I just need time to settle back into the routine again, what about the rest of you?
    1) That is a very broad question indeed, as not only is clothing style a great many things, dependent on situation, occupation, fashion, social status, wealth, and a number of other things, but it also differs greatly from place to place - not only between countries, let alone races, but it even differs from duchy to duchy in Rodoria, more so now than ever because of the civil war. Maybe there should be a section about clothing, but it would end up being ridiculously huge, I think... not to mention mind-numbingly boring for me to write.
Generally speaking, though... in Rodoria, low- to middle-class citizens will mostly wear either white, black, brown or green, and be restricted to common cloths (cotton, linen, wool, that sort of thing), rawhide and leather, because other things are out of their price-range. Upper-class citizens will favor richer colors (just about any other than those stated before, unless they particularly like one of those) and more expensive fabrics, like silk or velvet, and obviously tend more towards decorating both themselves and their clothes with precious metals and gemstones. Generally speaking, people also tend to wear either more or just larger clothes the richer they are, meaning that while a peasant would mostly wear clothes that fit to the frame of his body and nothing more, a merchant or a noble would be more inclined towards wearing capes and cloaks, long jackets and coats, hats, baggy trousers... you get the idea. More is better in the eyes of the wealthy.
Anything more specific than that, and I will have to start typing out the specific styles of each area of each nation in Reniam... which would take ridiculously long time, and even if I decide to do so, it wouldn't be right now. I guess I could write a bit about Pelgaidian fashion specifically, if that is what you're wondering about...

    2) Here I presume you mean those thin little fragile stilletto heels that some women wear today (and which I personally don't get the point of at all... in fact I find them rather unflattering, not to mention that the noice they make on a hard floor is downright annoying). Anyway, yes, they do in fact exist in Reniam, though they are far from common - in fact they are quite rare, and considered items of utmost indulgence. Stilletto heeled footwear is made only in collaboration between shoemakers and smiths, as the heels are usually made entirely from relatively lightweight metal, most commonly steel, though more expensive shoes tend to have heels of more expensive materials. They are also even less practical than they are today in that while the heel itself is virtually indestructible through normal wear and tear, it can break off the shoe or boot it is attached to relatively easily... plus, they have a tendency of piercing and sinking into any ground that is less solid than wood (and leave visible marks in wood flooring where one walks). But yeah, they exist.
Interesting additional fact on that - thick shoe- and boot-soles, as well as the original, sturdier walking heels were first invented by the penin as a means for them to appear a bit taller than they actually are, because they got annoyed with the other races poking fun at their size. Later on, when the other races had mocked the heels on their footwear for a while, the penin then invented the metal stilletto heels to serve a twofold purpose: to make their traders look taller, and to enable them to stomp their heels straight through the foot of anyone that dared to mock them. People still make fun of penin wearing footwear that make them seem taller, but the first time they try that with a penin wearing stillettos they tend to get out of that habit very quickly.

    3) Well, there aren't really any laws in Rodoria that demands that women wear clothes at all... Technically a woman (or man) could walk around stark naked without the law caring one bit (aside from maybe turning their heads when passing such an individual on the street). Socially speaking, one would at the very least have to cover the private areas (pelvis and chest) appropriately in other to not be the object of universal derision (and constant staring). To actually fit in and not be considered a harlot (and be a less inviting potential rape victim), the stomach, back, legs and feet should be clothed as well (the bit about the back being covered is of course not true for deigan, who traditionally never cover their backs so that they might display their featers). Aside from that there are really no restrictions, rules or even guidelines.

    4) Personally I am not sleeping well at the moment... plus, apparently my hands aren't reacting all that well to going straight from 10 degrees C (50 degrees F) to 20-25 degrees C (68-77 degrees F - I loathe the irrationality of Fahrenheit...) from one day to the next. They don't really hurt, but they're swollen and irritatingly hard to move. It should fade soon, though. Aside from that, I guess it's mainly the situation in the RP that causes the slowing. I think that after just one or two more rounds of posts, I'll make the fast-forward.
Now I will ask again, because it did not seem like there was built consensus about it just yet - how far forward should I skip when that time comes? To next morning, or a couple of days forward so that Brian's new character can be introduced?

I wouldn't be able to say until Thaler and Jaelnec have had a chance to talk.

Edit: Also I think we need MORE mundanity if that makes sense? Actions great but seriously thinking about it there's no real connection between characters aside from the fact they fight together. Which of course works too, but if people expect Thaler to stay there's going to have to be some mundane bonding. She isn't going to jump into hordes of goblins for people all the time after all.

I vote for next morning, if only it'd allow all your characters to start the new day and develop and interact a bit more... Gotta go, exam's starting.

...Here I will say again that I simply can't properly post more often than I do at the time being. Even if there were something more urgent going on IC, I would still be posting at the exact same rate - that is, when I can and am even remotely not quite dead-tired yet. I don't even know what to do about my inevitable absence - the last time I was not present, my character was left quite badly behind, and that was a slightly shorter period... Right now it seems that the complete absence might extend by another two days, so it would be 11th to 20th. (As I freshly learned today. )
I'll skip giving an opinion about the leap till it is imminent.

Hrm, high heels have exactly the two mentioned practical purposes as I see it - to make people taller and to be used as weapons. I personally stand at 1.77 meters, but still quite a few of my friends effectively out-tower me, and I can testify that it can be slightly uncomfortable if the person you are talking to is not at face level, but somewhere up there. Why a woman above 1.80 would wear high heels, I do not know, unless it is specifically to be able to step on someone's foot especially painfully or kick someone's eye out. (And apparently it is possible to even sprint in those things - I've seen people doing it -, however unstable that looks. Figure.) Granted, it has only happened less than a handful of times during my entire life that I myself have worn anything with more than 4 cm heel.
On another random note, yellow and gray tones are also relatively easy to accomplish, as far as coloring fabric with natural supplies goes. Bright yellow is furthermore easier to produce than bright or deep dark green, as the green dyes one can get from plants will usually appear relatively dull or somewhat yellowish/grayish.

EDIT: I partially agree on the mundanity part - right now it leaves the impression that much casual interaction has not happened even 'behind the scene', so to speak. Olan has been talking to Thaler, Aemoten interacted with Immanuel before he was turned into a Harvester...

    Yaaay~!! I posted ^^. Phew :P.

Well that was fun, I think I'll write the next installment after a couple of the main group's posts. Not a whole score like usual. I just felt that this one was meant to be kept as a kind of shortened cliffhanger rather than a full blown finisher xD. Enjoy, I'd love some critique, reactions, and response if anyone would be so kind .
