Question - no where in your post did you say that the blue light and all that stuff appeared when you helped William - I'm assuming that it did indeed appear?

Er... They did. I've edited my post according to the wishes of Dark Jack and Shienvien. Read it and you'll know.

Hmm... well, Brian, again I've based the Favored powers available in this RP largely on what has been depicted in my novel already, and otherwise on what I imagined the limits would be judging by the nature and personality of the deity.
Anyhow... the capabilities I had in mind for a Paladin of Liya would be more along the lines of healing only the body, not the mind, since the mind is considered to be a product of the soul. And even so, paladins' healing powers are somewhat minor compared to that of Clerics of Liya or any Favored One of Reina, so actually a Paladin of Liya would only be capable of healing relatively small things, like superficial cuts, flesh wounds, sprained joints, bruises - that extent of injuries.
By "magical and spiritual maladies" I assume you mean magical exhaustion and curses - which would not be the case. Favored Ones cannot affect the soul of the one they heal (joining the soul of a mortal with the soul of an immortal could only go awfully wrong), and since magical exhaustion comes from depletion of the energy of the soul, and curses likewise are attacks from magical energy on magical energy, these are beyond a Favored One's reach as well. It would take a magus to remove curses like that, as they manipulate their own magical energy rather than that of an immortal, and can thus better mingle with another mortal's soul.
They cannot create auras that heal, either. In fact, Paladins of Liya would need to treat every single injury separately, on every single person.
Obviously, they can't alter others' minds when they can't heal them - not through Favored power, anyways, and the only effect they can have on the body is to heal it.
But Paladins of Liya can infuse their weapons with the essence of Liya, making them capable of harming even incorporeal foes that would usually be unaffacted by physical weapons.

Paladins are the offensively focused version of Favored Ones of Liya, after all, but it is a general rule for all Favored Ones that they cannot heal the soul, as that would require infusing a mortal soul with the essence of an immortal. It is also a general rule for all Favored Ones that they can only progress the natural healing of a wound for how it would have healed over a certain amount of time, and then the wound will become "immune" to further healing - thus, with deeper, more serious wounds, it would still be necessary to treat them, wash them and maybe even stitch them up before applying healing, to allow the wound to be completely healed, or to prevent a scar from remaining.

Concerning the blood, it would be possible for Faovred healers to accelerate the natural regeneration of blood the same way as they accelerate the natural regeneration of injuries, but as with wounds it would only progress the production equilivant to a certain amount of time.

As for what they are and are not capable of doing without the use of Favored power... that would be up to the individual, but they do function of something of an symbol on a battlefield. They don't need Favored power to infuse their allies with courage - their very presence tense to have that effect naturally, simply because of who they are.

Alright then... I guess I'll amend my previous posts according to your wishes. The way you explain it, I guess it isn't so bad. Anyway, I've made another post. Hope you guys liked it... I hope I didn't go too fast. Did I?

EDIT: Hahaha, so with regards to Dark Jack's most recent post, it appears that Annabelle had missed the dark figure in the laboratory I'd say its quite okay- They may have missed it in their hurry. Either that, or they just couldn't be bothered anymore, as a fellow seeker of cure was dying.

EDIT: Alright, Dark Jack replied me. I guess my post will remain as it is.

Well I realized that I had not really let out any of Ez'rath history, and the laboratory was a good place to do so, I threw in a glimpse into his pass. Actually, I wanted to throw that scene in way back before the band of... adventurers? I suppose that works. Before they'd left Borstown, but didn't really have a good excuse for it... Anyways Jack mentioned way back that it made no sense for Ez'rath to know what Liquid Fire was, because it was so rare, etc. Well I'm hoping that this would show a little bit as to why he would...

Ez'rath? I started posting almost right before you posted, meaning our posts don't quite agree with each-other- for one, Aemoten was still quite capable of moving about on his own, though injured, and I have written him already by the door a the time Jaelnec starts giving orders...

((On the side note, I still keep automatically thinking of someone else when I read the name "Devian"- it's a common alias for a close friend of mine, which he has used for more or less twenty years already.))

Well I can edit it to say Ez'rath and Brian just helped you support yourself rather than carrying you.

Would be easier than me basically rewriting my entire post- or at least a significant fraction of it- so please do.

EDIT: added a note of Aemoten being supported to my own post- before there was none.
