Don't know if this has been done yet, but, "Isolation" would be a great theme. There would be many different views of the topic offering a large variety of entries.
Theme suggestions with component ideas have a higher chance of being used. It also gives managers a starting point on where you see (or want) that theme to go.
Anger.
Show us a realistic description of the emotion called anger.
Components:
- Show the act from two perspectives, as in how the angered perceives the situation and how it looks from a viewer.
- Create a understandable reason to why the character got so mad.
- Properly describe the consequences that the fit of anger had on the situation and possibly what changed from should the person not have been angry.
- Somehow have the anger be countered by another emotion. Guilt, love, anything that might come with it. Create a struggle between the emotions. Possibly with rationality.
- Use a real-life event as a basis for the text.
... Maybe?
My brain is telling me we've done something similar to this already... but you've broken this down quite well. Needs some tweaking, of course, but I can see it working.
I find that one emotion the absolutely most difficult one of all to portray properly. I don't usually have characters that can get angry, because it becomes so... strange. As such, I wanted to contribute with the suggestion on how to describe the emotion with text in a competition such as this. Situation and anything else works too. Stories of anger works as well. I just... want to see what other people make of it. As such.
Throwing both struggle and fan fiction out there again!
I'll try to think of some more components for each of them.![]()
We included "struggle" as a component for the WOTM/AOTM collaboration.
