She sighed. "You are a half demon, but why does that matter? Race makes no difference to me...now, will you do me the honor by telling me your name?" She stood, facing him, her silver eyes looking into his. She knew what he was, but it never mattered to her what anyone was. When she was fighting in the war, she fought along side dwafs, elves, and demons of many sorts. She herself was a different race, one that had long ago died out apart from her. But it didn't matter.

He scoffed. "Tempest." He didn't really care about her name to ask for it as he walked over to lean against the wall. "How long have you been in that thing? Lemmie guess, did you piss off your husband and he punished you by sealing you in that?" He laughed a bit at the end of this, wondering what she would say next.

She shook her head. "No, I was sealed in the Gem to wait for the darkness to return...a great evil that once almost ended this world...now that you have awoken me, it means the darkness will soon awaken as welll, and a new war will begin. Or it might have already started" She pushed from the wall. "Now I must get to the capital...I must learn about this time quickly and help the rulers of this new time prepare for a war that has not been seen for a thousand year..." She headed for the opening of the cave, stumbling slightly.

Tempest looked up at her as she started to leave, "Yeah yeah whatever. Go on and help your precious humans. That's what you people always do." Though of course he wasn't surprised in the least. Both sides only cared to their own people and that's how it's always been. He bend down and started pocketing the shards of the gem pillar, hoping someone in a nearby town will be stupid enough to think this stuff was valuable.

She stopped and looked back. "I don't fight just for humans, Tempest. I fight over all races, no matter hybrid, pure, or unknown. I am not human, or any race still on this earth. I fight for those too weak to fight back, and I aid those who may not even ask for it. I am Megara Wings, the last of the Protectors. Now if you want to get some real food and out of those clothes you can come with me to town. Its the least I can do..."

Tempest just rolled his eyes, "You have a real need to act dramatic don't you? It's really annoying." She didn't react with disgust like the others, so he figured to at least go along with what she offered for now. If it comes to be, he'd be willing to stand up against her. Whether he won or not didn't matter. He walked over past her and already wanted to move, "Of course you realize, the soonest I step in the nearest town, they'll toss me in a cage to make fun of or throw me out of town and laugh their self-righteous asses off."

She followed him. "Let them try, they will have to go through me first...but wearing just pants will not help the matter...hold on" She went back in the cave and a few moments later came out with a cloak and a shirt. "Here, put these on"

Tempest took them out of her hands and put them on. New clothes was definitely welcome for him, though he still wondered what this girl's angle was. "Again, I don't need some girl to fight my battles for me. I may have long since lost what honor I had, but I still have my pride."

"I don't plan to fight your battles, but I will defend my friends from those you are blind to the light that I see in them. Now come on" She smiled and headed down the path, humming. She looked at her hands and they were shaking badly. "I'm in no shape to fight again for a while...but if any does bother Tempest for what he is, I will still fight back" She thought to herself, hiding her hands within her cloak

Tempest just scoffed, "Who says you're my friend? You beat off some guys and offered me some clothes. Sorry lady, but you're going to have to try harder then that." He then took a quick look at her, wondering what was up with her hands before she hid them. "Why are your hands shaking like that?"
