So you thought I was advocating it shouldn't be against the rules, or at least looked to correct me somewhere by saying the reason why it should stay. The thing is I never said or even implied it shouldn't. The point about it in the rules had been made already multiple times and I never called it into question. Only later, after I pointed out your misunderstanding, did you start calling it irrelevant to cover up your own mistake in comprehension.

I get that it's a rule, and understand that's just the way our culture is now, though I really just don't see what the harm is. What are we afraid of? "Little Susie read a story where a guy and a girl loved each other very much, so now her biggest dream is to enter the porn industry and take a few throbbing purple phalli up her various unprotected orifices on a daily basis." Is that it? Are we honestly scared of the slope being that slippery?

Just like violence, eating habits, drug use, or really anything that could have a big influence on a person's life, sex needs to be handled realistically and carefully. Sweeping it under the rug isn't doing that. If it were, abstinence-educated kids wouldn't have hilariously higher rates of pregnancy than those realistically educated in what sex is. I think we'd agree promiscuity shouldn't be glorified, but sex in general? That's a different story.

I said it should be handled carefully and realistically, just as other things that could be major influences in people's lives. Nobody's challenged that as far as I can tell.
