As I stated in the Interest Check, I read through (most) of this thread and I feel like I must bring up a few questions before I decide whether or not I should apply ><

First of all, are those spells in the list definitive? I mean would you be willing to allow more creative use for spells? Specially for dark magic.

Secondly, how often do you expect people to post? I have a feeling I may take some time to post for this one, due to the general feel and quality of the first few posts.

I mentioned once or twice in the first post that these spells are definitive and cannot be changed, added or altered in any way.

We all need to be on the same page for magic, no one is to be given special treatment for spells or abilities.

As for frequency...I'd like it to flow. I'd say a post every other day. I doubt everyone's going post once a day which is why I said every other day would work. If people have to wait for someone to post and it takes three days, then they're probably not meant to join this roleplay. It's summer (or nearly) and so I expect more attention to roleplays. Most people on here don't have a job or school in the summer, though if someone does, it'd be nice to be aware of it.

For the first case I was just thinking of some utility spells, but if put that way I understand and I won't press.

On the second, I didn't mean that long. Every other day is generous time. Mhmm...

I think this has enough of my interest for me to try for a character... I'll try to have it later tonight.

Alright, try to make it a type that hasn't been done for the sake of variety. But at any rate, I am interested to see what's produced.

Background: Born and raised in Nemorosus and joined the town watch at a relatively early age, following the steps of his father and his father before him. Given the reason the town was founded, its local watchmen found themselves to be more accustomed to combat than those that might be found in the more peaceful locales. This was also true to Arka and his family, who after three generations found that trekking through the forests during patrols became second nature. Arka was a natural, or so it seemed, he proved his skills at tracking and archery skills when completed his first successful hunt at sixteen.

There was always something nagging at the back of his mind, despite his growing skill, that kept telling him that there was something else he should be doing. His sense of duty prevented him from seeking this something, that is until the recent influx of new recruits. It was that day that he informed his family that he'd be setting out for the world, they tried to persuade him otherwise but it was too late. He was packed and ready well before he asked.

That's how his own little adventure started, its been a year since then. A year of doing a series of odd jobs - anything from serving as a mercenary scout to hunting deer for inns. He's been content, but an all too familiar lust for adventure was beginning to form in his mind.


Notes: Looking for pictures with the right feel is the bane of my character making life. Not only does it not cooperate it also rubs the fact that I need to get better at drawing in my face.

As such it will wait... but I'll submit what I have for perusal. Also I hope I his background doesn't conflict with the town's history ><

We're not following the slayers' plot really, just using it as a premise for the plot and info. The actual plot we make along the way is up to us. And I'm still trying to catch up on sleep but my finals are now over so I'll try to better read your CS in the morning and will tell ya if you need to edit or post in the IC.
