Awakening of the Stone Dragons *OOC*

Long ago, there lived eight powerful dragons, capable of apocalyptic power. Their names were Lux, Tenebrae, Ventus, Aqua, Ignis, Solum, Fulmine and Glacies, each weilding power of a particular element.

At one point, these eight dragons became corrupted in their power and reaked havoc on the humans. And although they were very powerful beings, they were eventually defeated by a sorcerer who cast a spell on them, turning them into stone figurines, incapable of causing any harm. The figurines were then locked away in a dungeon, where it was expected that no one would have the chance to reawaken them.

However... civilizations fall and new ones rise, time passes, all new countries form, and before you know it the tale of the eight dragons is nothing but an old legend that only small children would truly believe. In fact, the legend has been completely forgotten by most. Now it's the year 2011, and a team of excavators found the old dungeon, recovered the small dragon statues and brought them to a museum in America, where they became a very nice new exhibit.

Although, their fame was short-lived. For shortly after, the museum was broken into, and the dragons, along with several other exhibits, were stolen. However, in a strange twist of fate, the robbers wound up in a car accident, (mainly leading to them being caught) and most of the valuebles they stole were either lost or destroyed.

The dragons were among the lost items. Hence where the story begins. They couldn't have traveled very far before an unknowing human (you) find them, and if the figurines are touched by someone with a matching personality to the sleeping creature within, then they will partially awaken them. The dragons will become concious, though still trapped in stone, and will be able to communicate with the human who awoke them. And whether they know it or not, the humans also have the ability to fully awaken the stone dragons, and free them from their prison...

Also, the dragons will be reawoken on four levels... which I'll post here for reference.

Stage One: The dragon is concious but still made of stone, as described above. He will be able to see and hear his surroundings, as well as communicate his thoughts to the human who awoke him. Any humans who touch the figurine after this point may also communicate with the dragon in this way.

Stage Two: The dragon is no longer made of stone, and has a real body again, but they are still the size of the figurines. (Not even big enough to fill the palm of your hand.) Although their powers are extremely limited at this stage, they can still cause a lot of small-scale chaos.

Stage Three: The dragons have almost fully regained their old bodies, and are now the size of large grazing animals. If they are well tamed at this stage, you might be able to ride them. Not so well-tamed, they might try to eat you. Also, their powers have been greatly improved from the previous stage, and can now be lethal.

Stage Four: Fully awoken. The dragons are now all they once were. Beware ever getting this far.

And now... the CS info. As promised on te intchk, I will also post mini-CSs of the dragons at some point, too.

Question - I am interested and will be joining, but I have a few questions.

First, are we choosing which dragon we want? And secondly, what exactly is the plot? As in, are there people trying to get the figurines, and we have to kill them or something, or? Thanks in advance - dibs on Levitas (unless the dragon chooses us?)

Once I get the mini-CSs up, then I suppose you can try to match your character's personality with the dragon you want, but, for the most part I'll be picking them.

As for the plot... mostly I just wanna see where you guys can take tthe senario. But I think trying to awaken yet tame the dragons will be a big part of it, as it's not as easy to find such powerful sorcerers anymore...

Name: Max Ingot

Age: 25

Appearance: 6'5'' and very muscular. Has dirty blonde hair. Blue eyes. Usually wears a T-shirt designed for his old band (has several of the same shirt) which is all black with a red scull in the middle. With that he wears jeans.

Personality: Confident, greedy. when he is presented with power, he will tend to abuse it. He works to become rich and famous. If presented with a chance to gain great power, Max would lie to, hurt, or even kill anyone he had to, and maybe even some people he didn't. If he was to find a dragon and tame it, he would most likely use it to become rich and powerful.

History: Max was born in poverty, his mother was a drug addict and his dad was a petty thief. His dad was caught and put in prison when Max was 7 and His mom died when he was 15. Max dropped out of high school and struggled to keep from becoming homeless, but wasn't particularly unhappy, until he joined a band (as the singer). The band quickly took off and became famous (not nationwide, but the band was well known within the state). With this newfound fame, Max's personality soon changed. He began to care only about himself. He left his band to become a solo artist after the others refused a record deal that would have them change a lot of their lyrics but pay them alot of money. Not many liked his solo debut, he was soon forgotten by the people and brought back into the poverty he once lived in. He has stayed greedy and still only looks out for himself.

Other: He is still recognized sometimes, so some people may see him and be like "hey it's that guy from that one band".

Name: Chuck Reed
Age: 26
Appearance:

Personality: Chuck is a playful, sarcastic character. He is often upbeat and jovial, and sometimes pokes fun at others. He has a tendency to make snide remarks or is dismissive of those who he deems unworthy of his time. He can be cold and aggressive when provoked, often resulting in a world of pain for his offender. Chuck may go as far as to kill without a second thought if it suits him.

Chuck lives by the phrase "Look out for number one." He places a high value on personal gain and often acts to benefit himself, neutral to whomever gets caught between the crossfire. When it suits him, Chuck is not afraid to steal or subtly manipulate situations in his favor; he has even been known to betray others for personal merit, though he maintains good relations with his real friends. He is not outwardly hostile toward his allies and may even be gracious from time to time.

History: Chuck was born into a middle class family in the suburbs of Illinois. He had no qualms about his childhood, proving himself to be a bright, young individual with affectionate parents. As he grew older, he taught himself the value of self-reliance and to look out for his own interests, as he often found himself alone while his parents were working. Chuck's high school years were a bit uneasy, as he did not always find homework and study to be of great interest or importance. More often he'd hang out with his close friends and did what suited him. Yet he managed to come through and his life in college was very prosperous, perhaps due to the change in atmosphere. Chuck currently is a freelance writer and part-time novelist.

Other: Chuck is a decent guitarist and is adept at parkour.

Name: Emma Lore

Age: 24

Appearance:

Emma has straight, dirty blonde hair and muddy green eyes. She stands at a slight 5'3" and is relatively toned. Emma is in shape and strongly against obesity simply because she believes that should she ever command a revolution, she would need to be able to run more that a few miles to escape the corrupt law officials.
Her outfits consist mainly of skinny jeans, flats, and flirtatious tops that compliment her smaller chest. Of course, her clothing comes from environemtally conscious designers.

Personality: Fresh out of college, Emma Lore is taking her major in Environemtal Policy to the extreme. Emma wants sweeping change and revolution for the good of the people. She wants to preserve the Earth and its resources for future generations. She wants all species to have an equal chance at survival, which in her mind means forced vegetarianism. She wants to provide food and fresh water to all of the population, which she intends to manage with strict reproduction laws.
All in all, Emma Lore wants nothing more than to help people despite what those people want. She fully intends to gain control of the world, dismiss democracy, and create a perfect world whether people like it or not.

On a deeper, unrecognized level, Emma has a bitter hatred for the humans that destroy for their own profit. Whether she knows it or not, if she were to acquire the type of power she desires, there would be a serious internal conflict as to whether or not she would take over and rule with mercy.

History: Emma was born in a perfectly normal, middle class family including her parents, her brother, and herself. Everything went smoothly until her freshman year of highschool when a chemical plant was opened up relatively close to her neighborhood. One fateful week when her brother skipped out on the annual family vacation, the chemical plant failed to dispose of waste properly. The chemicals leaked into the town's water supply. Her brother was one of the more fortunate ones who had very low exposure and survived, but that incident incensed Emma as she lost both close and distant friends. From that point forward she made it her life goal to put an end to the careless destruction that humanity imposed on itself as well as the environment.

Other: Emma studies mythology, legends, and various religions in her spare time. Part of her desperatly wants to believe in all of the things that her parents told her were only fantasy.

Name: Simon Taesung Zose

Age: 22

Appearance:

Personality: A happy-go lucky kind of guy who constantly talks. He is always cheerful and friendly. He is courageous and somewhat of a spazz. He is extremely friendly and his persona makes everyone happier.

History: Simons life was BORING. This inspired to try all sorts of cool things. He is the fastest runner in the state now and is a master juggler.
In his past Simon has run into a couple fights. His reaction is either dodge with electric speed or run at 10x electric speed. If cornered, Simon has extreme lightning fast reflexes and can deliver a solid punch too. He hopes to become somewhat famous and is EXTREMELY encouraging to people in need of a friend.

Other: If he had a talking statue, he'd talk to it for hours non stop. He'd carry it with him everywhere. His quote is "Go for it!"
