"Hey! Slow down!" Atelar grumbled as he took off at a light easy run to keep up with the others. Being small and lightweight, he could keep up this light run for a good while, but he was built for short bursts of speed, being used to running in and out of city alleys and such. Still he kept up as he made 3 steps for every 1 of Glith's. The exertion paid no toll on Atelar's spirits, as they remained lifted at the mention of a caravan. Caravan's typically meant travellers and merchants, and merchants typically meant valuable goods and money.

They finally came upon the road, Atelar plopped down on the ground to rest and catch his breath. He wasn't extremely tired, but why expend more effort when one didn't have to? Atelar took a deep breath and closed his eyes, enjoying the lush grass on the hill and the ability to sit down and close his eyes without something trying to kill him. He noticed the odd silence and gave it a bit of his attention as he sat there (Listen Check). He sat there in silence for a moment before he heard his stomach grumble. He was hungry. It felt like ages since they had last eaten. He opened his eyes to scavenge for something to eat.

His eyes locked onto a small creek. His first thoughts were fish, but he quickly realized something peculiar about the lake. He got off of his spot on the hill and approached the creek to investigate. Crouching against the roots of the tree, standing just over the creek, Atelar examined the interesting blue glow around the creek, attempting to glean some sort of information from it.

I can't tell if Myke is standing on something or did an amazing job of timing a jump. I'd like to imagine it was a jump
    Neither, he is floating
I'm pretty sure he's just that tall
No he was on a table
I don't know.. Have you seen how tall he is?

Atelar's ears caught a very slight rustle of leaves, but not one caused by natural winds, coming from a tree north of him.
The little streams in the water didn't tell Atelar much other than the fact that this wasn't a common occurrence for water streams. Perhaps tasting the water would clear things up?

The water definitely looked odd, and Atelar knew that, but he couldn't exactly put his finger on why it was so weird. He glanced around, almost as if nervously and then shrugged. He was confident that his immune system could handle a bit of funny looking water. He lowered his hands into the pool and drew out a small amount which he then drank.

After drinking the water, Atelar found himself covered in...chocolate! The substance covered him from head to toe, but didn't turn any equipment into chocolate.

Kostvel waited slightly for Atelar to catch up, and looked about the crossroads where they had stopped. Lazily plunking himself down on the edge of the ditch bordering the road, he dropped his halberd to lay int he grass and weeds beside him. His sword belt and Heavy crossbow followed momentarily after plunking into the short foliage as well. Momentarily hearing Glith speak up, he perked his head up to see what was up, but realized that whatever he said was addressed to her. Rolling his shoulders with a crack of loosening knots in his muscles he leaned back into a quick and lazy stretch. If there was anything that he learned from his various experiences on campaigns it was to take every opportunity to rest to the max. If he could, he would take a quick nap, but he felt that the area was still a little to hostile. Plus the fact that the caravan couldn't be that far off.

Languishing in the shade of the nearby trees, he dug around in one of his belt pouches until he brought out a few travel biscuits. Standing up he grabbed his short sword from its temporary scabbard and slipped it into a loop of the rough rope still wrapped around his waist. Pacing across toward Glith and the girl, he tossed one of the biscuits her way. The travel ration wasn't the most tasty of food, and wasn't the easiest to chew. But it was filling enough without sitting heavy in the stomach, and packed plenty enough nutrients in it's mixture of hard grains and oatmeal. Quickly he passed between the two, as he wasn't really interested in getting into whatever conversation or talk here and Glith were having, or were going to have. As Glith said previously, they could always address that later, when they were sitting in friendlier territory, around a fire.

Coming up behind Atelar to offer a biscuit, he saw Atelar crouch down over the water for a quick drink. Seeing the cool water of the creek made him wish that he had his flask he had purchased in Assam still to refill. As it seemed, all the less secure things on his person such as his woods hatchet, water skin had been lost in the teleport. Otherwise he had most of what things he had packed in his belt pouches. "Hey Atelar, You want a - " Just as he was about to complete his question, he was cut off as Atelar was suddenly coated in a thick sheen of shiny brown material which seemed to be semi viscous but mostly solid.

Leaping back in shock, he stumbled over his feet and barely managed to regain his balance as he stared at Atelar with a chocked expression. He wasn't sure what had happened, but was sure it wasn't all that good.

It was quite a walk. The pace set by the undead was quite the one. Had it not been for some of the training the girl had gone through, she might not have been able to keep up. Not that she actually remembered going through that training, but… in any case. That wasn’t very important at this one point. … Actually, it was very important, but she couldn’t do anything about it, so it gained a lower priority simply due to that. Now, where were they..?

So, they found a road. They stopped on a hill among hills. Caravans were going to come by here? If they do, why would they be likely to pick us up? The girl shrugged at her own question. It seemed rather meaningless here for the moment. Did Glith have an internal sense of time that simply told him when a caravan would come on this route? Assuming they were exactly in time, that would be possible if he was highly familiar with the area. Was he? … She had to assume so. Meaning she cannot start claiming any lies on her little story…

‘As I said, my party was following a rumor. A rumor a load of forgotten treasure within that fort over there, which location we were given. There were quite the few of us, and they were all confident in their abilities. I did always sense that their confidence would get them into trouble one day. I am starting to suspect the one who supplied us the info might have held a grudge against our captain.’ Dear. Would she now have to make up names for them all? Don’t pursue this, please. ‘So, the treasure is fake, then? Well, that makes the grudge-keeper successful. I hardly believe it was me he was trying to kill, after all. If that was the intention.’

She threw a glance at the other two members. Ice wizard was going towards the creek, apparently to examine it. (Do I see the ripples from here..? In that case, long range Int test..?) Kostvel was passing her and Glith, and he… he threw her something. Her instincts activating, she caught it. A… a biscuit. Oh, yeah. She hadn’t eaten anything in… … … … … … … … … … since she woke up. It was probably about time, huh..? She nodded gratefully at the one who had provided it. ‘Thanks, Kostvel.’ She brought it to her mouth and bit off a piece. … It… wasn’t all that great. But she had nothing to compare to. So the girl just happily chewed it, recognizing the fact this was the first time she can remember even having been given anything out of plain kindness. Well, it might be because he wanted her to function properly in case of trouble, but… still.

She stood up, never noticing what happened to Atelar since she was looking the wrong direction. ‘I need to go relieve myself. I’ll be back in time. Can I do that, or do you need to keep an eye on me when I do that, too?’ Actually, that was a slight lie. She wanted to get somewhere so that she could examine whatever unseen something had appeared on her back. She might… take care of necessities while doing so, but that wasn’t the main reason. The girl didn’t know how short “shortly” was, so she’d take the chance.

"Well, for one, whoever wanted to kill you didn't do a very good job. Scrolls of Gate summoning don't cost all that much and I very much doubt that your party could handle a Pit Fiend. Sending you off to Delhumide seems a tad too reliant on luck, " replied Glith, now sitting down with his arms crossed. "I speak from experience, Pit Fiends are very nasty individuals. Summon those, you'll be running around yourself trying not to get killed. They don't like being summoned." The suit thought about something, completely missing the last request made by this girl.

Upon looking at the stream, the girl didn't see anything unusual about the pretty streams in the water. There was something odd about them, but unclear what.

‘Well, how about that? I don’t believe anyone summoned anything of any size. If something like that was summoned, it wasn’t by our group. Nevertheless, they are all dead now.’ What is a Pit Fiend? Was I told that? Ah, well. She took another nibble on the biscuit. Noticing that she really didn’t get any response on the later question… and saw that the Ice wizard was approaching that strange creek so that examination was probably underway and with nothing to fear… she decided to take his silence as a yes.

‘Now, if you excuse me… I’ll be back in a moment.’ She sprinted off in a graceful speed towards a small gathering of trees over there trusting that Glith had heard what she had said. The speed because the caravan would be arriving soon, so she really didn’t have the time. Otherwise this would be a horrendously stupid misunderstanding.

"Gah!" Atelar cried out in surprise as he found himself suddenly covered in a rather viscous brown liquid, which was hardening at a rapid rate. Atelar's face paled as he imagined what sort of trapping spell this was and how he could best escape. He shut his mouth a second too late as a drop of the hardening liquid fell into his mouth before he was fully encased in a layer of hardened substance. Atelar's eyes, protected from the liquid thanks to his hair, snapped open suddenly. It was chocolate?

"What the hell?!" Atelar said in astounded confusion. He was encased in a layer of hardened chocolate. He moved his arm slightly, testing the strength of his sweet prison. The hard chocolate cracked fairly easily. After confirming that, Atelar briskly swung his arms inwards and out, cracking the chocolate around around his joints, small chunks of chocolate falling to the ground as he did. He was quick start moving the rest of his body as well. Some of the chocolate remained in its semi-viscous inbetween liquid-solid state, but most of the chocolate had hardened into an encasing suit that broke off with relative ease, and a frustrating amount of effort. Atelar peeled a chunk of chocolate off his chest that looked like it could have been a breastplate, if it wasn't for the fact that it was made of rather expensive confectionery. Atelar stopped peeling the chocolate off himself for a moment. If anyone saw his eyes, they would have noticed a sudden gleam.

Chocolate, was a fairly valuable sweet. It was difficult to make and was more or less a luxury, most commoners rarely had chocolate, it was mostly something for merchants, nobles, and other people with money. Atelar looked at the chocolate breastplate as though it was made of solid gold. He set it gently down on the ground and went about removing the rest of the chocolate from his body, setting the larger pieces aside, and putting the smaller pieces into a small jar no bigger than his fist.

He had gotten most of the chocolate off, and the trace amounts that remained on him weren't a nuisance to him. In one hand he held a small glass jar filled with chocolate shards, and by his feet were several large pieces of pure chocolate. He had no idea how he was going to go about carrying this chocolate, but he prepared an ice spell so he could begin to cool the chocolate and keep it from melting in his hands while he held it. He would probably just sell it to the caravan that they were supposed to meet with for a quick buck.

"Hey, Kostvel, this creek is something else, huh?" Atelar remarked. He noticed Kostvel's waterskin and pulled out his own as well. It was empty. Go figure. Atelar filled the skin with some water from the creek. He didn't plan on drinking it any time soon, but it seemed handy to have.

The water that Atelar filled his water skin with, didn't have the same transparent trails in it, appearing as normal water inside. The proclaimed breast plate didn't seem to show any signs of wanting to melt just yet.
