when i said that he lost his memory, i was implying that this had happened a long time ago, considering that i said "it took us months to piece him back together" i was implying that it had not happened within the last 12 hours.

i can't think of a single plot-point that says that he couldn't have reached Ruin Mode a while ago and has been slowly rebuilding his powers ever since until he is now able to access Burst Mode again.

Even if you somehow fill the plot hole in, the problem still stands that you're godmodding this onto a character that isn't even yours for the sake of one stupid throwaway line. Not sure if your common sense has escaped you here, but generally, shoving something like this into the backstory of a character that isn't yours is considered impolite.

Back to the actual plothole, it's still a plot hole in that the only reason he's able to access any of his super modes right now is because he got the Human and Beast Spirits of Fire after they were released from Susanoomon, and just saying he randomly got it another way god knows how long ago creates the plot hole of why he couldn't use it anyway upon reforming after reverting. And it also raises the question of why Mirage wouldn't be able to access his Burst Mode without the Spirits, since he would have been a Mega for about twice as long as Shine going by your attempt at explaining it. And I know you weren't implying that he'd regenerated in the last twelve hours, that was just me pointing out the other part of the problem, that he logically and realistically wouldn't have been able to access these forms until a very short period of time ago, so short that he couldn't possibly have gotten all the way up from Fresh to Mega in the space of time.

The plothole's fidgety and extensive, but the part of your post that causes it isn't. Just edit the damn thing, since you just need to make up some other reason for how Crusadermon would know about the Ruin Mode. Not really difficult.

And it's technically not overanalyzing when the throw-away line does cause a pretty big plot-hole. And when it's based on God-Modding anyway.

As for loving this thing too much... I've created two spin-offs of this, am planning a re-write and full adaption of this into a flowing fanfic and proper narrative and am in charge of one of the sequels for this, which will involve a multiversal arc crossing it over with the spinoffs and some stuff from the other sequel, and maybe some of the canon universes.

it's not a plot-hole, it's a plot-hole in the same way that Lieutenant Commander Dat having a penis is a plot-hole, why does he need one? why did Soong look at his creation and say "hmm... i think my android needs a penis..." what drove him to make this decision? why did he decide to install all of the progammes that allows him to fuck a woman.

but we already know that he is capable of doing it, we all know he can do it. it's not a question of it he can do it or not because we know he can, anyone that has watched Data Squad or has read his Wiki page knows that he can.

it's more like saying "at one point in Parasimons past, he transformed into BurningGreymon." it's not god-moding because we all know that he can do it because he had access to the spirits of Fire.
