actually, comparing Beelzemon to Cell is quite a good analogy. as creatures of pure Gluttony, they are built to move forwards and consume everything in their way, adding the power of everything they consume to their own power until they become an unstoppable force.

of course, Beelzemon is simply going to augment himself with data from his fallen foes to fight, this is something that he does in Tamers, as shown when he just Kills Makuramon just so that he can absorb his Data, he also grows the shoulder pads of both Rapidmon and Taomon when he absorbs parts of their data.
