The arrows didn't really blind the great beast. In fact, it only served on specific and achieved goal. It succeeded in pissing the damn thing off. Howling with anger, Yggdrasil began to flap its massive wings, causing ripples in the air strong enough to blow them back. The town's citizens fought to cling on to one another, clutching on to anything they could find. Jarrod plunged his blade straight into the ground to act as a makeshift anchor. This was getting nowhere, and at this rate everything would be destroyed. Just like from before. Gritting his teeth, Jarrod let his sword go and used the air around him to propel himself forward. He jutted through the air now, slashing and hacking every which way on the dragon's silver body, hoping to at least put a scratch on it. Several cannons on Yggdrasil's back now began firing energy projectiles of all kinds to try and shoot down the swordsman. However, these knights had armor covered in energy plating and also wielded guns and rifles as well as traditional swords and lances. Great. More Anomalies. Giving off a loud screeching sound reminiscent of a battle cry, the troops charged forward towards the group of people. The ones with firearms began shooting out bullets infused with explosive magic, burning the place and setting the area on fire. "Hey Angelo," Jarrod called out from above. "Got a nickname for these guys?"
