Asking a question before continuing the examination of the cage and any potential weak spots was the first part of a not so brilliant plan, the second involving breaking out of the cage and choking Edward. Broby found that there was infact one weakness- it was obviously susceptible to magic, unfortunately Broby didn't know any. "While we're at it, why are you so content in keeping me in this cage despite knowing that I have better things to do than deal with you after my inevitable escape?"
