When the tendrils started shooting out and vaporizing people, Rena screamed, and curled into a ball. She couldn't watch this happening. She couldn't even deal with it. She started sobbing into her knees. If it was going to kill her, why didn't it hurry up? She'd never seen someone die before, let alone on this scale. It was...mortifying. When the tendril finally touched her, she noticed it was filling her full of energy. Invigorationg and...strange. She closed her eyes tight shut and waited for death. But it didn't come.
