Annaliese woke up. Her head rang a bit. No pain, just noises. After a shake of her head they went away just as they came. "And. . . Where am I?" She asked herself looking around. It was definitely different from the computer lab just before. "This place looks intimidating. . ." She said aloud. It was quite the forest for sure. Of course, this completely contradicts the fact that she was just at her school. From behind her a small voice called out. "Oh, you're awake." Annaliese turned around quickly. If nothing, she wasn't expecting anyone to say something. She was expecting a child due to the voice but what was there was, "A puppy?" It looked just like a puppy except a pretty cartoony one if she ever saw one. "Last time I checked, animals didn't talk." She said bit nervously. "And the last time I checked, people didn't fall out of the sky. Yet, you did right in front of me." The pup said and laughed before dragging a basket to Anna. "What's this?" Anna asked. It was covered with a cloth. "Food. I found this sitting around and thought I'd have a picnic." The pup opened it revealing some bread, apples and some other fruit. "Want to share?" Anna felt her stomach as it growled almost on demand. "I suppose I could." Being the thoughtful girl she was Anna grabbed the cloth and spread it on the ground. "We are having a picnic right?" The area was covered by shade so it made a good spot. The two smiled at each other and Annaliese introduced herself, "My name is Annaliese." The puppy had a piece of bread in it's mouth already. After eating it quickly it said, "My name is Salamon. As you probably can tell, I'm not a human. I'm a Digimon. A Digital Monster." Anna looked at Salamon, "Di-gi-mon?" She looked nearby on the ground and found the weird device she had been given by her teacher. "Does this have anything to do with you and Digimon?" The device's screen started glowing as she pointed it at Salamon. "That, Anna, is called a digivice. It's like the link between the hearts of humans and digimon. I think that might mean we're partners." It smiled up at Anna and continued, "Nice to meet you, partner." Anna smiled back, "Nice to meet you too, partner." They continued their picnic as Annaliese thought that this would be better than home.
