Well, I'm looking at what sort of situation allows us a plausible scenario without metagaming the Augstbergen too much. Mobile warfare had a lot of teething issues, and I think the Augstbergen prewar doctrines should reflect the disastrous results of assumptions that were made in Earth's development of the doctrine.

I don't need to stick with how anyone did it, so much as I'm trying to figure out what makes a better storyline. And I feel that overall, the situation with the initial Holtish attack is going to be something of a disaster for the Principality Armed Forces. They're a green military fighting an experienced one -- the Holtish are bound to hang a few tricks on them.
