Mana liked to think of herself as a logical, rational, reasonable girl. She thought problems through calmly, and never erred in her judgments. Present her with a problem, and she would flawlessly correct it. She could easily deduce the best answer to any scenario. So running blindly through a forest to escape the small, yellow, blob-like talking creature was naturally the best choice. Crashing through the flora in her path, Mana very quickly came to a stop behind a large tree, catching her breath. An athlete, she was not. After catching her breathe, the trembling girl cautiously poked her head around the tree, looking for any signs of pursuit. It didn't seem to have followed her. Great! Now she just had to find out how she got from a school library to... some jungle. She turned, saw the yellow creature sitting dociley before her, and promptly yelled very loudly, bouncing off of the tree behind her and falling to her knees. "Okay, I get it, you're a little bit startled," the monster sighed, "But if ya could tone the volume down a little, I got some exposition to throw at ya." Trembling furiously, and quite unsure of what was going on, Mana simply nodded, and hoped an opening to flee once more would present itself. The monster introduced itself as Zurumon, and explained to her that she was in another world, the Digital World, specifically. She and Zurumon were supposedly partners that had to fight some evil monsters or something. Coming from... whatever the hell Zurumon was, it sounded quite ludicrous. Hell, her own father could make this sound stupid and childish, and he was the most serious man on the planet. "So, any questions?" Zurumon concluded his confusing talk. Mana raised her hand, "Well, too bad, they can wait." "Wait, what?" Zurumon smirked, "I said the questions can wait! Nah, but seriously, there's other humans dropping in, I thought it'd be easier to gather y'all up, and explain stuff to all of ya at once. More efficient, right?" Well, it was hard to argue with that, but... "Okay, then... where is everyone else?" "Dunno. Can't take too long to find 'em, though," Zurumon spoke in a dismissive manner, "you were so busy charging through here like a Monochromon, they all probably heard your sissy screams." Mana decided that this was not going to be an easy relationship.
