Dire Mountain May it be an evening star Shines down upon you May it be when darkness falls Your heart will be true You walk a lonely road Oh, how far you are from home The soft lyrics drift their way through the valleys of the mountain... It sounded as if the wind itself were singing, gently weaving it's words into the very fabric of the digital world, anybody with a half decent perception would easily be able to hear the voice... Yet where it came from would be more difficult to figure out... The voice echoed from all angles as if there were an entire chorus filling the world... Darkness has come Believe and you will find your way Darkness has fallen A promise lives within you now The deep soothing chords of a lute mingles it's way into the chorus, adding a haunting undertone to the soft, obviously female, voice. May it be the shadows call Will fly away May it be your journey on To light the day When the night is overcome You may rise to find the sun Atop one of the peaks, a lone figure sits, her long black robes billowing out around her as she gently rocks side to side, her face concealed by the shadow of her hood. Her fingers the only thing visible under the robe. Resting on her lap was the lute that emitted the beautiful notes, her thin fingers dancing along the strings, picking and plucking them in complex patterns. Darkness has come Believe and you will find your way Darkness has fallen A promise lives within you now The cloaked figure seems to expand a little, a long sigh echoing out from her as she bows her head and lays the lute on her lap, hands slowly sliding down the string, allowing the last note to continue to ring out, gently getting deeper. A promise lives within you now And with that, the voice and music falls silent. Her hands clasp together, fingers interlocking, as they rest on the main body of the lute and she just sits there silently. "Whelp... time to get back to work.." she sighs softly to herself a short while later as she brings up her inventory screen. Dragging the slider down, she taps a couple more selections, menus, and then the lute finally flashes and vanishes before she rises to her feet. "This view already unlocked much of the map data for this sector... I guess it's time to move on..." she mumbles to herself as she starts making her way down the peak...
