Biography: A normal geek in high school, he started dreaming about being somewhere, or someone else at the age of 16. One night, however, he had a terrible nightmare. He saw a woman being raped by a man who's body leaked an inky blackness, like smoke or living shadow. Two days later, he read about it in the newspaper. The cops eventually discovered that it was the work of an ex convict who fit the description of the rapist in Kyle's dream.
He went to school to study physics, and graduated eventually with a doctorate. After a night of partying, celebrating graduation with some of his classmates, he was walking home early one morning in Atlanta, and was stopped by a mugger. When he was too slow in handing over his wallet, he was shot. For the next several hours he was unconscious in an operating room, with the doctors doing all they could to keep him alive. When he called his parents after recovering somewhat, to tell them what had happened to him, they didn't understand. Three days earlier, he had come to them early in the morning, the same morning he was being operated on, and told them that he loved them, that he hoped to see them soon, but that he may not. He remembered those events, but as they happened between him getting shot and waking up in a hospital bed, he knew that something unexplainable had happened. Though he went through many theories to try and explain it, he couldn't.
Eventually someone from the D.I.S.contacted him with the only explanation that fit. While he lay dieing, he went to his family in astral form to comfort them, knowing that it would help them cope with his death. While he didn't accept it at first, meeting a Vampire, among others with superhuman abilities, convinced him of the existence of such things, though he still believes they are the result of some part of the laws of physics that humans have yet to uncover.
Personality: Inquisitive, obsessed with technology, and finding a scientific explanation for everything he has seen while on the team.
