Personality: Bubbly and friendly, Ana is known to be as smart as she was kind. Many of her housemates credit her for helping them with their Divination homework, while others remember her as being the leader of the first Hogwarts Dance Team. She doesn’t like to cause problems and doesn’t like confrontation, but if you cross her, she will use all of her smarts to make sure you are paid back in kind.

History: Ana was born to a muggle gypsy mother and an absent father. A product of a one night stand, Ana never met her father. The truth that her father was a wizard didn’t come out until Ana was around 9 or so. During a long train trip from their homeland of Romania to their new home in England, a man tried to make away with the young girl. He got two cars before his scream echoed through the train. The metal railing that ran along the length of the interior of the train seemed to have broken free and curled into the man’s ankle quite sharply. Ana’s mother quickly found her and never connected the dots until Ana’s letter from Hogwarts came. Ana’s mother, Jonetta, detests magic, and does not understand it. She fears it and Ana has had to navigate the Wizarding world on her own. It wasn’t until she received her letter that she knew of the existence of her own small vault at Gringotts. Though her father had never met her, he had had the foresight to provide for her future. The vault contained enough wizarding money to keep Ana in supplies and books until she graduated. Thankfully, she spent most of her young life in Romania, and missed most of the fallout with what happened with Lord Voldemort.

Extra: Ana is quite adept at divination, which she and most of her teachers credit to her gypsy heritage. She is humble about her gift and doesn’t see it as something to be used lightly. She loves to dance and upon finding friends at Hogwarts, got permission to put together a dance team. They are well known and are a favorite to perform at school functions and holiday balls.

Personality: Reserved and often collected, Detric’s demeanor mirrors that of the traditional roots that binds the Aurelius family together. Proper in how he carries himself, ruthlessness to obtain what he wants to advance himself is nothing new to him. Rather than aiding others, Detric enjoys making others want him, which offers easy labor into things that he needs done — be it work or more sinister things.

History: Part of the Aurelius bloodline, Detric’s family’s influence stretches far within the country of Britain and into other parts of Europe. He grew up with the objective of carrying on the family legacy and ensuring that the bloodline stays pure — free from mud bloods and muggles.

Being a pureblood family, it comes as a surprise to many that those that lived within Voldemort’s time hadn’t joined the ranks of the deatheaters. While his mother is impartial, through his father’s comments, Detric sensed his father’s respect and desire to command such a force, to command such fear.

With that, Detric attended his family’s alma mater , Hogwarts, and has secretly begun to retrace the steps of He Who Must Not Be Named. While the wizarding world had yet to recovery from that dark time, it is the perfect time to slowly rebuild what Voldemort had. Except now, it would be Detric, and the Aurelius bloodline, that would assume the position. To create a world where purebloods remained at the top, the Aurelius’ scion knows the path that must be taken to ensure that.

Extra: While Defense Against the Dark Arts is truly what Detric excels at, he enjoys the nuance of Charms and sees the immense benefit in it all. When he’s not preoccupied into his Dark Arts related material, Charms is another branch of magic that he dabbles within.

Just a few clarifying questions: would people know that Analetta is a half blood? How strong is her relationship with my character? I think we talked about it, but I just want to double check.

I'm glad you like it! I wanted something big and dramatic lol. Alright: I think her blood status wouldn't be a secret, but it isn't something she would advertise. I was going to ask about their relationship too! I almost added something with her looking for him at the end of the post, but refrained because I wasn't sure. I'm thinking They might not be very close right now, perhaps they were friends when they were younger, but friends and social circles have taken them away from one another. Divination is her best subject, I'm thinking maybe something with a tutoring situation on how to bring them together and force them to spend time. Also, I'm thinking maybe the performance might be the first time he's seen her in sometime and she would be beautiful, so it might make an impression hehe.
I really like your character too! I think you really captured the elitist side of the pure blood culture. I hope you don't think my character has sunshine shooting out her butt, but I wanted to make her a very stark contrast to what I assumed would be qualities you would use in a new you-know-who. :-) I promise she won't be perfect heh.
